Russian novels: Let’s go to the depths of despair and then find out there’s an even deeper level of despair we didn’t know about and go there.-

How cold is it where you are? In Wisconsin it’s currently 8 degrees (Fahrenheit) with -10 windchill. And it’s several degrees warmer than it was yesterday.
