Wow, I am really sorry to hear that. The ad in question is Google AdSense, and it shows a different ad to each person who visits. We have no control over what ads are shown. The ads are shown depending what people have done google searches on, as well as site content. The vampire conversation probably explains the horoscope ad. Not sure what would…[Read more]

@Reagan and @Ezra obviously some of what I said was sarcasm as I stated but I was trying to make a point. The point being if cannibalism is wrong then what is the difference between that and vampires? However, I see now that the point was kinda unnecessary. It was late when I posted that and my brain wasn’t exactly working with all its gears t…

Um, Reagan, I am not really in Camp One or Camp Two. Here is my position:
Vampires are evil.
Vampires are real.
We should not write about them as if they were nonexistent, fantasy creatures.
The Bible reference I was speaking of is Numbers 26:6,22.

I’m sorry, I misunderstood your position. So you are okay with writing about vampires, so long as…[Read more]

…Who in turn took it from a historical character “Vlad the Impaler”. I forget where he lived…somewhere near or in Russia. That kinda area. (Y’know…his name /is/ Vlad.) He was a real guy though. And I’m fairly certain (though we never could know for sure) he’s about as close to the insane psycho villain Hollywood gives us as you can get. His life g…

Welcome Natalee!
I suppose the only thing you need to be worried about me being is a robot.
I write sci-fi. 😛
I don’t have much to welcome you with, since I’m new. But…
Let us be new together! 🙂

Ok I have an interesting question for you lot. What is your opinion of cannibalism? Sorry, but I had to ask. Is it good, is it bad? Is it right, is it wrong? Is it evil or is it misinterpreted and could it really be quite a beautiful thing if interpreted correctly?
Hahaha ok so obviously some of that was sarcasm but I am interested to know.

I…[Read more]

First off, I just want to thank everyone for the very respectful nature of this conversation. It has been very refreshing! 😀

@Ezra:

Exactly. Gandalf in LotR would be more accurately described as an angel.

@Sarah:

Where does the Bible make a distinction between wild beasts and evil beasts? I have not heard of that. And why does the Bible…[Read more]

Oh. My. Goodness. Your bio could almost be mine, Dani! Only I was born in Texas and still consider myself a native of that state… so I must have evolved from longhorns. Or fire ants. Or scorpions. Or rattlesnakes. Something like that.
But I sing, woodburn, do calligraphy, love Tolkien (though I’m a little unsure about Lewis) and knit. Welcome to…[Read more]

Wow, if you let a topic go for half a day it completely gets away from you! Let me start at the very beginning. Reagan, all the way up there somewhere— the misunderstanding is entirely my fault. I tend to overstate my positions to make a point, then forget to go back and clarify them later. Also, at the start of this topic I thought we were…[Read more]

Sometimes (quite often) romance in stories is just pointless, but does that mean we should throw it out? I don’t think so. I generally don’t like it when it is the main theme, but let’s be honest. How many real life characters in history have fallen (or if they were the more rational type) stepped into love? 95%? Sounds about right. It is just…[Read more]

This is what I found on a brief google search. Hopefully we haven’t done the same thing with KP!

Very good points, Ezra.

Welcome to KP! It’s nice to have another INTP around! 😀

I agree. They are probably the exception rather than the rule. 😛

Right, love at first site in American culture usually means two people find each other physically attractive, and that’s it. Whoopdy-doo. How rare this occurrence is. It is truly destiny that has brought you two together! Not. 😛

Right, if the characters are Christian, it would…[Read more]
