To the KP staff:
This is not a writing discussion, but I don’t know where else to say it. This morning, when I logged in, there was a pornographic advertisement below the member log-in button. Please, this is a Christian site. There are many young men who participate in it, and an advertisement like that could cause them to stumble. And, as a girl, I hate seeing stuff like that. I have four younger brothers, and I will not encourage them to go on this site if they will be exposed to stuff like that. Yesterday, my mother went on KP to check out the things I had written on the forum, and she saw a horoscope advertisement. I realize that KP is short on money, but is it right to use such awful things to fund a Christian site? Surely you do not want to cause young Christians to stumble! If you need to raise money, there must be a better way to do it. And, personally, I would rather have to shut down the site than be guilty of causing a child to stumble.Wow, I am really sorry to hear that. The ad in question is Google AdSense, and it shows a different ad to each person who visits. We have no control over what ads are shown. The ads are shown depending what people have done google searches on, as well as site content. The vampire conversation probably explains the horoscope ad. Not sure what would have led to a pornographic image. Again, it is out of our control.
However, I will go ahead and remove it so that there is no chance of you seeing these ads again.
Again, I am very sorry, and this was not our intention. Please understand we do not want to raise money by showing these kinds of ads.
