Her culture is loosely based on general Australian Aboriginal culture. Horses are a very recent addition to real world Australia and the real life Aborigines had little to do with them. Aborigines also, for the most part lived hunter-gatherer lifestyles and didn’t really keep animals, so I can’t really steal from real life when it comes…[Read more]

Yilla would say to take away someone’s freedom. Courageous would say to take their dignity. High-Praise would say would say their privilege/inheritence/dues.
Or maybe their hot chocolate, who knows?
What is the most embarrassing situation they have ever been in?

Its not even lunch time *moans*
Most certainly. Since Jen is gone, would you like to ask a question?

I thought it would be something along those lines 😛

Now I’ve moved on to completely forgetting to tag you
On another note, I just sent an email to you, or attempted to. Because I sent it to myself instead.

That’s true. He’d probably do that.
Okay, let me ask a question.
What would happen if two of your MCs (from different novels) swapped places?

I don’t know. Yilla wouldn’t want to go anywhere else, because her family is in this time and she wouldn’t be able to take care of them. Courageous wouldn’t ever be happy anywhere. High-Praise would go back to a time before people started disrespecting the monarchy.

They wouldn’t say anything–they’d just knife me on the spot.

@jenwriter17 (I’m having a bad day, you’re 27 now)
Yilla is an ISTJ, Courageous is an ISFJ and High-Praise is an ESFP I think
Hmm…
Yilla–earth powers. Courageous–telepathy. High-Praise–telekinesis or invisibility.
What is your character’s favourite colour and why?

I can see hilarious chaos ensuing from this question.
Yilla would most definitely be the father, being responsible and sensible, providing for everyone else. Verily would be the mother, all loving and kind. Courageous would be the over protective socially awkward big brother. Hopeful would be the middle child who all the rules were made…[Read more]

Whoops, I butted in a little. 🙂
I think she fears losing her family and her home most.

I’m glad you’re excited! Well, you do know some of it, such as what happens to Courageous.
@jenwriter17 (I just called you a Hen Writer. Now I’m imagining chickens tapping away at a keyboard.
I’m working on nano, and getting your post ready.
Okay, I shall join the game
Jen: I’d tell Yilla that being serious all the time is not good…[Read more]

The whole movie is based on two books “The Little Woman” and “The Small Woman”. From this, I get the impression that if the Chinese women were calling Gladys small, she was indeed tiny. Ingrid Bergman is not. Nor does she have long dark hair, like Gladys. In fact, Gladys was mistaken for a Chinese woman when she fell into a coma…[Read more]

That was one of the things that really annoyed me about the movie 😛
Hmm, it sounds interesting. I’ve read a bit abounds Anna Anderson and she sounds like a very unhappy person.

Yep, its 1956. Its the movie the animated movie and the Broadway play were apparently based on.
Is that other one sort of historically accurate?

I’ve been waiting to hear from you for ages! For some reason I didn’t get an email when you tagged me.
I haven’t, I don’t think. I know of an older movie, with Ingrid Bergman. Its not that one, is it?

I got 350. You’re familiar with the sentence game, no?
What was your favourite sentence?
I like this one:
A good queen can never feel regret, Sanhita.
Closely followed by:
High Praise made sure she gave him an extra good glare as he passed through the door.
