@daeus @ethryndal I’m just about to sign out as well. I wrote an outline based off a smaller outline based off an even smaller outline based off a few questions. 😛 Then, I went over a few edits with my Mom.
The story is almost already… hehehe. -

I agree with @ethryndal
I think there’s a fine line between deciding to let a character get away with his actions–in spite of what he does to get revenge–and crafting a path for the character that shows the consequences for revenge. If you think about it, a lot of stories in the Bible show this theme; anger has consequences, which is why the…[Read more]

@ethryndal So, you never edited your previous post? Because a few minutes after replying I got another update that had your post minus the comment about $5,000, like I see here now, and I thought, Oh, she did edit it, I just didn’t get an update about it right away. That’s weird 😛
Yeah, I don’t know how long the Bunyan one’s been going, but they…[Read more]

@ethryndal That’s one way to put it! 😀
Yikes! I’m sorry you had to go through that! Yes, it is nice that it’s so professional-like 😉 I have heard of Patrick Henry College, I don’t know where, I don’t know when, and I didn’t know what it was for, but I have heard the name 😉
Y’know, they could very well have meant August and simply made an…[Read more]

Well, it’s well and truly past April 1st (no joke! 😛 ) so the Bunyan contest is closed. I should be hearing in the next 2-3 weeks if I win or not 😀
I received my copy of Bond’s book War in the Wasteland, which I had forgotten was part of perks of entering until it arrived. My dad is currently reading it, because it’s a about WWI and he likes…[Read more]

I am thrilled to announce the launch of the new Reader Behavior Survey. If you haven’t already read through this thread, the Reader Behavior Survey is a survey I put together that asks readers detailed questions to probe into how they think and what influences them. “Why?” you ask. For reason that I’ve never done this before, nor have ever heard of it besides on here, beta-reading is new to me. What does one do in beta-reading? Is there any method to it? Anything I should keep in mind?

Strangely enough, I’ve never considered Luke to be whiny at all, not until you mentioned it…The original trilogy will always be my favorite. I can’t say that I fell in love with the newer movies and characters like I did the first. That being said, the seventh movie was really well done, and in my opinion, can be ranked right up…[Read more]

Hello! @ethryndal
I absolutely love the Dream Treaders books. The concept is so cool!
I’d say my favorite superhero has to be Captain America. There are a lot to choose from, but Captain America was my first introduction into the Marvel universe. He’s definitely my favorite.
Ah, Lord of the Rings…I’ve seen the movies, and read a handful of…[Read more]

@Emma-Flournoy Aaaaah! I’m speechless. You have this profound effect on me: Everything you say makes me grin. How can one person be so NICE?
*gives you chocolate with raspberry pieces in it*

*poof* Yes, I remember that. And I know the feeling. The feeling of…bursting. *knowing nod* Quite. But yes, feel free to respond at your leisure. Yup, we understand each other. This is good.
I don’t care that the emails are long (far from it, give me GIVE ME!)—just that that makes it so I have to take longer to reply, and thus longer till I can hear from you again. 😀

Nah, it’s more orderly and less confusing to have it all in one place. I’ll just stick with long.
It is different…but not hateable, I thought. Sheesh Anna. But you should see it again sometime. When there is such a time. And whenever you finish reading TSP,…[Read more]
