(Btw, I think in my WIP’s MC’s thoughts all the time too. Sometimes, I literally write my characters’ whole letters. I think it’s just one of those things that come from being a writer:)

I have seen Agatha Christie’s titles on bookstore shelves before, but I definitely should read one. I have a copy of Sherlock Holmes on my shelf but haven’t read it yet.

I haven’t read The Maze Runner series, but I have heard long rants from my siblings about the trilogy. XD They are quite notorious in my household.

I don’t usually read them. But from the ones I have read, I believe one of the things that make good mysteries is when there are no apparent clues shown in the beginning and don’t reveal all the secrets in the following chapters. Ah, I believe my favorite character is the MC of my current WIP.
But following closely in second place is one of the two MCs in my short story EverHappens, Adrian. Adrian hides behind an intensely competitive and sarcastic mask but would put himself aside for someone who truly needed him (which is exactly what he does at the end of the story).

My MC does often get annoyed at him (actually they both get annoyed with each other and are often very sarcastic). But even so, they would risk themselves for each other and have several times.
