I’m back! (I feel like I’m blowing up the forum… 😉 ) @godlyfantasy12 suggested that we share some of the songs and albums behind our WIPS and/or the playlists we’ve created, so here I am! Y’all just use this topic to share the inspiration and discuss music.

To get the ball rolling, I finally put together the 3-hour long Spotify playlist for my WIP. I obsess over music (one group in particular…), so it was really easy for me to find all the songs that fit my characters and story. All the songs here are vocal, by the way. I’ve got to get into instrumental before I can put together a proper soundtrack!

@gracie-j, I actually made this playlist just for this question. I’ve been wanting to make one of these for a long time because they’re really cool, but I’ve been too lazy 😂 Thanks for giving me the push, LOL.

@devastate-lasting What have you against Spotify? Just curious… I’d love to hear what you come up with!

@joy-caroline Awesome! I’ve never heard of some of the songs/groups on there–I’ll have to check them out! I’m glad I was able to nudge you in the right direction!

@gracie-j Ah, well, I still use it… When I started listening to music I used this app called Netease Cloud Music, which is from China, and I still use it the most often to this day. There’s no ads, though most popular songs I’m not able to listen to in this country. Then the year before last I started using Spotify, and man, was it an experience. While I could listen to almost all the popular songs, the ads are extremely annoying and they lack a lot of the music that I like to listen to. So I guess for me, it’s just a different experience. And also quite overrated.

But yeah, I probably am going to use Spotify to make a book playlist. Eat my words.

@devastate-lasting Gotcha! I shifted from Pandora to Spotify, so I definitely the latter much better. I don’t mind the ads since I’m able to listen to all of my ~~obscure 2000s post-grunge~~ beautiful Lifehouse I want. Plus the playlist feature is great.
