@kate-flournoy Aah. I understand that. It is quite amazing when films stay true to the works they adapted from. Henry V is actually what I’m learning right now, and I can see a lot of potential for great drama and action. Shakespeare did seem to specialize in amazing characters (besides verbose dialogue) so it’s not surprising that that is Henry V…[Read more]

I have a prayer request, a family friend was diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer five years ago. He’s outlived everyone else he knew with stage 4 cancer when he was diagnosed. Things aren’t looking to good right now, and he’s trying to hold on for his family. (He’s a Christian.) He has a four year old daughter, and a one year old baby.…[Read more]

What can I say except GOD IS GOOD. We found it and it is now safely back on the necklace. Not to be worn around the yard near long grass.
All the glory goes to God. He showed us where it was. I was retracing my steps with my sister and all of a…[Read more] -

I’ve lost a little T from a necklace. It was a birthday present from my aunt and I have no idea where it is. I have been outside (in long grass) and I’ve been looking but I can’t find it. Please pray that we will as it is very special to me.
I’m…[Read more] -

@emma-flournoy The really amazing part is how well they handled Eric’s foil. Watch it.

@emma-flournoy I have to agree with you. Even though I do like BTM, would recommend it, and would watch it again, it’s certainly not a true classic.
@Mark-Kamibaya At the same time, I read some of those critics when the movie came out, and they are certainly exaggerating. Yes, you’ll find stuff to critique all over the place, but I’d still…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper Lol. Yeah, it was a totally big deal (jokingly, okay?). BTW cool profile pic.
@emma-flournoy Okay, I see what you mean. When I said that it was a choice between two goods and two evils, I meant in the person’s mind. The choice may actually be a choice between good and evil but in the person’s mind it isn’t. So to Eve it was a…[Read more]

Yeah, that’s true. But there have been many examples of godly people with horrible kids. Adam literally walked with God and had a bad kid. David had Solomon (who was worse) and Solomon had Rehoboam (who was a bad king). Jehoram was a bad king but Jehoshaphat (his dad) was a good king. Modern examples include Billy Sunday and Jim…[Read more]

@kate-flournoy @emma-flournoy @sleepwalkingMK @anne-of-lothlorien
We are better at hiding sin. And we sin because we have a sin nature. Not necessarily because we weren’t raised right. There are many adults who are horrible people but were raised in good homes. It’s kind of sad that I saw that from a young age. But parenting does impact kids in…[Read more]

The whole energy of this thread is just soo serious! It’s kind of scary.
Okay, so @rolena-hatfield I totally agree with you. God’s sovereignty is a great comfort. But considering all the things I was talking about I’m actually not worried. At this point the situation has changed from one that you can be proactive in (by voting) to one that you…[Read more]

@SleepwalkingMK absolutely. XD
@Emma-FLournoy @Mark-Kamibaya yes, and you know why older people do that too? They weren’t raised right as kids. They never came out of that ‘everything centers around me’ stage that kids go through because no one ever taught them better.

@kate-flournoy Yes! I mean, my parents disciplined me a lot, and look how I turned out xD jk
@emma-flournoy You’re right. Adults and older kids do that too. We’re just better at hiding it 😉 -

@anne-of-lothlorien I’ll check out Beyond the Mask for sure. And I think Ever After would be cool too. Romance movies are totally my guilty pleasure (if you know what I mean).
@emma-flournoy Yeah. It’s harder to read books here. No libraries. I know you’ve mentioned the Mr. Smith Goes to Washington before so I’ll be sure to watch it. And I love A…[Read more]

@kate-flournoy has a lot of good points @anne-of-lothlorien. And @emma-flournoy is true about the stereotype. I think that the best way to write little kids is to give them great reasoning because to them everything is quite logical. They just have less understanding.
Also, something I’ve noticed is that little kids are pure evil. I’m serious.…[Read more]

Sorry guys. I’m going to start limiting my time on KP to one day a week. I’m on here far too regularly and it’s causing a bit of friction. I’m going to miss you all, but please feel free to still tag me as I will reply when I can.

@Bluejay I’ll miss you as well, but I’m glad to see you’re prioritizing your time. I’ll be praying.
Thank you @kate-flournoy. The prayers are really appreciated.
@bluejay
Aww, I’m sorry to hear that, but I totally understand. As awesome as KP is, it can be distracting sometimes (at least for me), which is, by the way, a me problem, not a KP problem (Hey! That rhymed). So I totally understand where you are coming from. I don’t know if you all have noticed, but I haven’t been on here as much lately…[Read more]
So poetic, @gretald. You should write a poem. Thank you for the words of encouragement. And the prayers. 🙂
@bluejay Aw, thanks! No poeticism intended. 😛 😉
Sorry to hear that. @bluejay. You will be missed. And I will definitely be praying for you!
@bluejay We will miss you!!! 🙂
@Bluejay I guess we’ll all have to super watchful about getting hurt now, with our doctor away. 😉
I’m definitely going to pray for you, and I hope the friction settles down. 😛 I’m sure it was hard decide this, but good for you. *thumbs up*
I totally understand this, @bluejay. You’ll be in my prayers!
Sounds tough, but if it’s the right thing, go for it. I’d be happy to pray for you.
