@emma-flournoy That is what I like about homeschool. Except, from my own experience, it can alienate you from the real world. (which can be a good thing, don’t get me wrong). I also found I was very bad at socialising with new people and less independant. Anyways, that is my experience yours is probably completely different. I think education…[Read more]

@emma-flournoy It is different. To me there are various benefits to both public schooling and homeschooling. I like both but do not have a preference. I was not homeschooled out of choice though.

@emma-flournoy I’m not entirely sure what your saying. Are you saying if you have never read the book, reading that title wouldn’t particularly interest you?
Also, are you thinking that “the gears of the world turn faster” would make a good title as it is?

TheAcornman replied to the topic Hi in the forum Start HERE 8 years, 5 months ago
@emma-flournoy It is probably a European thing.

@emma-flournoy You are forgiven. A term is period of time when you are at school until the next major holiday. Half-term is a week or two off school halfway through the term. I am in College now not school (American equivalent would be last 2 years of high school) but has half-terms still.

@emma-flournoy No there haven’t been but it’ll be half-term in October. I’d have to agree with you on the acting side of things.

@kate-flournoy Possibly. I mean, certainly, but I don’t know if the other options will sound good. “The unready time traveler” doesn’t strike me as very good. 😉
Anyway, I don’t think length is a very big problem. I’ll think through alternatives though.
What do the rest of you think of this title? @hope @emma-flournoy @winter-rose @graciegirl @d…[Read more]

@emma-flournoy I have a friend who’s nuts about Monsters Inc. I recently finished a Monsters Inc. themed Christmas card for her. Do you like the prequel, Monsters University?

So who won the gif war?

@emma-flournoy I have never seen or heard of both Horatio Hornblower and Viking Quest. But… I looked up Horatio Hornblower and it does look pretty good. The costumes are quite well done as far as I can tell.
Haha I can just imagine you shouting, “Down with rip-offs!” as you throw them away. quite is quite an understatement. Thank you. Going…[Read more]

@Ethryndal @Emma-Flournoy well, the actor is apparently an INFP, so of course everyone loves the character. *cool sunglasses*

@Shannon Thanks… I think. 😉
@Catwing Call it truce.
@Emma-Flournoy Everyone loves Loki. Therefor, they make gifs about him. Quite good ones, too. Which was fortunate for us.
IT’S GOING TO BE GOOD. Unless it’s not. And then you will probably hear from me, as I turn up on your doorstep, wailing and wringing my hands. Stay tuned. And go watch Loki.
