@sam-kowal That synopsis is great. 😀  Where can I read this book? 😛
I’ve taken to just sharing my story premise.
“Oh, my book? It’s about these guys who are trying to steal this thing from the dark lord before he figures out it has the power to release him from his captivity.”
Never mind that description lacks any life whatsoever. They d…[Read more]

@supermonkey42 😀 The dragons of Pen are against your rebellion. Beware.
(That scary dragon isn’t Stan, by the way. He’s the one that looks like a stuffed toy.)
OW! Stan, it was only an expressio—I said, OW!

@dragon-snapper firstly… ice cream.
*piles up barrels and barrels of ice cream in an old DRAGON*
*Flies with Stan to the top of a mystic mountain*
*Flies into the secret base, where all the rebels and heroes are having a party*
*hands out the ice cream*
Secondly… Ugh. I hate feeling disconnected from my book. Because its like… I’m not…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 XD Nice topic. It’s rather fitting for writers, since… ahem… people often tell writers strange things.
XD @kate-flournoy @dragon-snapper I know what you mean. Trying to tell people is like… hard.
The solution I came up with is to have a really simplified and parody-like synopsis all ready, which really isn’t very accurate but…[Read more]

@rochellaine 😀 That sounds interesting.
I haven’t read many Westerns, but I would read that.

@dekreel 🙂 I’m an ENFJ, or at least that’s what the MBTI told me… although a lot of the percentages were close.
The DISC test gave me an I-C. Too bad there wasn’t a U and then I could be an ‘I see you’
😀 And Stan…
Well, he breaks the tests.

@jenwriter17 😀 Nope. I’m not, but I will probably do so at some point today. I gotta read biology.
If anyone’s looking for a short book to read, by the way, check out Favorite Father Brown Stories by G.K. Chesterton. They’re very suspenseful. -

@dekreel 😀 Awesome!
I can’t wait to read it.
That’s fine with me that you switched me out as a character. I change characters sometimes too.
Stan and I will be sitting here waiting for it, munching on popcorn and raspberries

I have an announcement: The KPA is finally underway! I hope…

(don’t judge — I have no idea what movie/show this gif is from…)
I had to rewrite it completely, but I think it will turn out well! I FINALLYFINALLYFINALLY have the plot figured out!!
Unfortunately, since I rewrote it, Number One: The prologue is a dud, and Number Two: I have…[Read more]

@mnvalentine Cool! 🙂 I should like to do that, too
It’s going great! Last night a light bulb clicked in my head, and ever since, I have been rewriting it. Over 3000 words so far! I plan to get it done by February and maybe post it in March. I am so excited about it!

@dragon-snapper There are lots of good takes on this here. I agree with them. I’ll just post two other ideas.
1. Take a break, but not from your book. Take a break just to dream about your book. Imagine yourself in scenes. Dream about backstory you’ve never thought of. Just dream.
2. I think writing isn’t always so much about our books as it is…[Read more]

Daeus replied to the topic PRAYER REQUESTS #2 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 7 months ago
@epicaddie2 That is totally relatable.
I’ll be remembering to pray for you, because this is very similar to what I face, only it’s not a loneliness issue but still a faith issue.
If I could say two things to encourage you, first of all, “In everything give thanks.” Boy, this helps. I think we feel depressed because we feel weak. In thankfulness,…[Read more]

Great job on this! As a missionary kid, this hits very close to home. Ouch, but I needed it 😛 So thank you. I saw myself in Caitlyn, and definitely understand her situation, missing friends and trying not to make new ones just to get hurt all over again. And the emotions coming even when she could get Megan’s email address e…[Read more]

I thought this was really well written. You conveyed realistic and captivating emotion. I think that really helped to drive the story.
You don’t have to answer this but is this based off a similar experience of yours?
