The Dark Overlord emerges from a dark passage that spills dark wisps of dark…er…ness. Yeah, Darkness. Anyway, it is super cool and it totally sets the mood. The mood of Whoa, this is probably REALLY important. The Dark Overlord opens his word-hoard and the following reaches your ears.
“My dear Troll-Thingys and Serf, Question-Asker and Profe…[Read more]

@bethanysinkyroses, I’m going to tag @aratrea (Josiah) because he just actually took KP to a homeschool conference.
I would definitely like to see KP at more homeschooling conferences because it is a place where we are most likely to be able to interact with our target audience (Young Christian Authors, or their parents in this case). I know at…[Read more]

Hey fellow serfs,
This is an idea that needs brainstorming. I started the topic a few days ago, but I never tagged anyone.…[Read more] -

@elly I’m sorry for my lateness. I guess you could say that I’m toast. 😛
Anyways…welcome to the forum, enjoy the fun, and watch out for dragons. 😛 -

@Elly I saw your name and was like “huh, common name that–WAIT IS THAT THE TOAST I SEE???” XD

@Elly, MacDonald is good. Some of his novels can get a bit preachy, but The Princess and the Goblin, Princess and Curdie,Lilith, and Phantastes are all really good. Except I’d probably recommend those last two to older people, ’cause they’re hard to get.
Oh, and I did Veritas Press’s Latin books for a year or two.

@Elly 🙂
There are several ENFJs on here, who I’m sure you’ll meet eventually. 😀 Though I don’t think any ISFJs. -

Did someone say INFP? *runs into the room with a huge grin*
Actually, the other day, I got INTP as my result, not the INFP I normally get… I have zero explanation for this.
Goodness. All this talk about Latin and philosophy is way over my head. I’m amazed that you all are interested in such things! I could never get into it, although I…[Read more]

@Elly A lot of Veritas Press’ stuff actually. My homeschool education was basically 90% VP recommendations, so my mom rotated through a bunch of their different Latin recommendations before I eventually moved onto Wheelocks with their online academy, and that worked out really well for me.

@Elly Ummm I’m not even sure. 😛 I know that I love philosophy, but I haven’t actually read big works of the philosophers. C.S. Lewis wasn’t half bad…nor Tolkien. @Daeus is good too. XD
But of the old Greek guys, I couldn’t say.Kewel. You seem more like an INFJ in mine own humble opinion. But mixing is cool. I’ve had the test give me more than…[Read more]

Hi @Elly! *crazy waving* I love philosophers. And your profile picture, as some have mentioned.
Do you know your MBTI personality type? (Is it INFJ?) -

@Elly that’s a great thing to be passionate about. 😉 I love history too. And logic and debate… though I love those because I love them, not because I’ve studied either in depth. 😛 Half the time I don’t even know the proper names of the things I’m passionate about. Just that they exist and I love them. 😀

@elly Haha, got ya. xD I took Latin from I think 3rd grade through 10th grade… My first six years were very similar to yours, though! Wasn’t until 8th grade that I got a teacher besides my mom (who is awesome, but doesn’t really know Latin), and that was extremely helpful for my learning. All that being said, six years later, I’ve lost most of…[Read more]

@elly Always nice to see classical references on the site. 😉 How many years of Latin have you taken? Fellow Plato-lovers are also awesome, though I waver between Plato and Aristotle in terms of who I agree with more. Anyways, welcome to the site!

Hello, @Elly! We have sort of met (and by sort of I mean the volleyball court), but we should be properly introduced. I am Anne Swiftblade, the often quiet pirate of the Kingdom. See you on the court!

It’s alright! Introductory forums can be very chaotic, I get it. I’ve only been on here a few weeks myself. @Elly
I’ve played guitar for about…eight years now, I think? I don’t play it as much as I used to, but I will always have a deep love for it.
Flute is a very pretty instrument! It has such a high and graceful tone.

@Elly Hello! Welcome to KP 🙂
My name is Elizabeth, and I write in the science-fiction/fantasy genres. I love meeting people who are passionate about the world of fantasy!
Ooh, debating. Can’t say I’m too great with that–verbally, anyway. Give me a few minutes to collect my thoughts on paper and I’m a different person, really.
