And Leon is like the hidden heir now that Dietrich is dead! The two were actually brothers because Dietrich’s father hooked up with Leon’s mother when he was a stupid teenager, and now Leon’s brother was just killed and he has no idea and he’s going to be the one to replace Dietrich and bring peace to the Empire!

Okay, but don’t you think it is a little… robotic…? to just say: “the Bible and C.S. Lewis told me so!” Or a little childish? Well, of course if the Bible tells you something you should probably listen to it (obviously) but don’t have your own opinion on the matter? Like WHY does the Bible and Lewis say that?
I would be careful with that. It doesn’t matter what our “opinions” are. We are human. Some people have the opinion that God doesn’t exist. I think @theducktator had the best answer one could give for this. She chose to answer you with what God said. To say that doing so is childish is not a good idea. Jesus himself quotes scripture when questioned or challenged. She doesn’t need an opinion, she needs to do what God says, and God is the one who outlined those attributes.
We don’t need to know why. We need to obey.
And back to the childish thing, Jesus told us that unless we become as little children we shall not enter the kingdom of heaven.

I’m a bit geeky when it comes to language, so I always translate the name into the original language and find the meaning from there. Then I name the characters. Sometimes the name shows who the person is, sometimes the name is a lie, sometimes it shows what they must become.
(For instants, I named a hidden prince a name that, in Welsh, translates to “king’s heir.” No one knew that the answer was staring them in the face with his name, and every one was surprised when it’s revealed he’s the heir three books later. 😁) Ironic names are also fun.
One name I actually let it be plainly shown because I wanted the reader to enjoy the irony too. I named an avid atheist “Christian.”
