I say go for it! The memory loss thing is good, and the fact that he tries to join the Kunulfs. It separates it from WF. Plus, Andrew Peterson pulled a Beauty and the Beast to begin with. There’s not a romance, but trust me, there are plenty of similarities. And beauty and the beast pulled from the Bible. (see Daniel) so…. I say go for it. As the book goes along I would be able to give a few suggestions here and there on how to keep it separate from WF. But I say do it.
Man is born for the fight, to be forged and molded into a sharper, finer, stronger image of God
I thought is was the same color as your pfp with the girl and the bookshelf. So a lighter medium brown.
Yes, a new culture.
Gak! Everyone is driving me nuts with all this pfp and name changing. I don’t know who anyone is anymore! *sob*
lololololol.
(did you draw that?)
Oh, sounds like something my dad would like.
wait…… how did you know I don’t like long games?

It would be you who figured it out. Everyone else has read these books, and then you swoop in and find it! haha!
I am.
Empirians!
*dies*

I guessed you like wolves!
ah, I see! What game?

HA! Got it!!
Ardentan’s have a French/Irish/English culture.
The Empire is German/Roman.
Turbans do not fit either of those.

Don’t worry, a lot of people think they are. (they basically are.)

can’t believe no one is catching this………………I think y’all know the culture enough to tell that their are certain pics that don’t fit.Man is born for the fight, to be forged and molded into a sharper, finer, stronger image of God
You’re very welcome!

Book 3 time!
*throws confetti everywhere*
So it’s Leon and Julian then. (Unless you suddenly decide you want to switch to Quin for the next chapter.)
Nope. It’s Leon and Julian. Two of my favorite characters I’ve ever written.
War? War. Boat! Wolves! Snow. Orphans…
No orphans. Well, I mean I’m sure there are orphans somewhere…… okay, there might actually be a scene with an orphan. But not a big plot thing like in the last two.
Yes wolves!
Yes a ship!
(I’m guessing you like boats and wolves?)
War…… Yes. In ways. Not the way you’re thinking though. (I can almost guaranty)
Ominus…
*evil laughter*
Kidding. I believe you said book 2 was the darkest. And even if you didn’t and this one is darker, I’m sticking around.
I believe I said book 2 was darker than book 1. These last two are by far the darkest. (though someone once argued that the beginning of book 2 was the darkest because I was dealing with a child) *shrug*
Glad you’re still staying with it!

HAHA!!! I love that quote so much.
Lol. Yeah, I get told it’s a lot.
Man is born for the fight, to be forged and molded into a sharper, finer, stronger image of God
Okay. I’ll give you that.
Yes, I thought of you as a quieter girl. Lover of books. Long light/medium brown hair. Writer, friendly, softer spoke.
*shrug*
Not sure if any of that is true. (except I know the hair isn’t.)
Man is born for the fight, to be forged and molded into a sharper, finer, stronger image of God
Yes, there is a ship!
there’s also something else which no one who knows this culture and should think this is odd has picked up on yet.Yes, there are children, and an arena and wolves……….
Julian loves horses. His brother loved them too.
So, which brother is the more outgoing, and which one is the more quiet one? I’m assuming Leon is the quiet one? Are they twins? Who’s older?
So actually, Leon and Julian are not related. They grew up together, along with Julian’s little brother, Adrian. Adrian turned his back on the gods of the Empire in book two and was killed for it. Julian went on the hunt for anyone to blame for his brother’s death, and very nearly murdered Joseph and his family. It was later that he returned and asked them to tell him about the God Adrian had turned to.
Leon was Julian’s commanding officer and best friend, (besides Adrian) Leon was actually the one who arrested Aaron in book one, though his intent was not for Aaron to die.
Leon and Julian both turned to Christ and spent the majority of book 2 trying to keep one step ahead of the Empire, who was hot on their trail as traitors and deserters. They survived the Imperial Occupation of Ardenta and were freed along with everyone else when the Vendellians and their allies drove the Empire out of Ardenta.
Julian and Leon are still considered traitors and still have a price on their head in the Empire. And, as Julian explained, the Empire doesn’t let go of a grudge easily. Often times punishment is visited on the son of the criminal, or even the grandson, if the man himself is not caught and brought to justice.
Leon is the quiet one, and he is three years older than Julian. Julian is the wilder one, and rather impulsive. Leon is more cautious and thoughtful.
Oh oh. Who is that shadowy masked fellow? The villain of the story?
I make no comment.
And yes, both Leon and Julian are skilled archers, though Julian is superior.
Well, nothing special beyond them being blue…. which was a big deal in Ardenta.

Those are men marching.
I don’t see any actual combat.

well, you might want to look again. I don’t see any battle scenes………..

So, what do you think of the mood board for the book? Any ideas/deductions/predictions?
also, do you have any questions for me concerning anything that may have happened in the other books or points you’re confused on?
