Linus Smallprint started the topic Alan Becker Fans in the forum Film 10 months ago
@highscribeofaetherium @ellette-giselle @keilah-h @whalekeeper
We were kind of taking over the art channel, so I decided to start a new form for Alan Becker fans!

Oh no, no way, they’d better not do that. I trust that Alan knows better, though.

I mean, it’s bad, but I’m just too stressed that he’s going to do the stupid misunderstood villain move. Then I shall scream.
My sister and I don’t think he’s going to excuse Victum’s actions and we will get a redemption arc instead, but we will see. The way she puts it, ‘Victum is bad, and his actions aren’t justified, but after…[Read more]

But here’s the thing. Yes, victim is now a villain, and made those choices. His actions in The Box were definitely evil. But TCO was also an actual murderer and what Alan did to victim was also really bad.
So, I wouldn’t say he’s a misunderstood villain, but his motives definitely make sense and you cant deny that his backstory…[Read more]

@ellette-giselle @highscribeofaetherium
Nice! Good choices for favourites.
though I do like the orange guy. (forget his name)
Most fans call him ‘The Second Coming’, but my sister and I find that weird, so we go with his official name, ‘Orange’.
The ones I Ellie have been closest to crying in:
AVA 11 – Victim (Ellie says she lost sleep after…[Read more]

Orange is technically called The Second Coming, but Alan and Green both just call him Orange, so that’s what I call him :p

Now for ‘Animation versus Minecraft’!
(Though maybe not today)
Dude, I so wasted over an hour of writing time.
So. Was it worth it?

ALSO, don’t watch the ‘actual shorts’ until you’ve watched the main videos, otherwise SPOILERS

@ellette-giselle One a day is pretty solid. Some of the Minecraft story ones can approach thirty minutes.

I had a mini heart-attack when you said you watched the most recent video first XD
Like Linus said I’d recommend you watch AVA (animator vs. animation) 1-4, and then AVA 5-8 and AVM (animation vs. minecraft) in whatever order you want.
I’d save AVA 9-11 for last, since there’s still two more episodes to come in that…[Read more]

@ellette-giselle Some of them have happy endings but are very, very sad in between. Take it from the person whose brother said he cried watching one of the Minecraft ones, and he never cries at visual media.
What’s even cooler is there’s pretty much zero words. All of it is movement, color, that kinda thing.

@ellette-giselle TONS of story. Tragic story. Funny story. Mostly tragic story, and then funny in between.

Ellette! No! No last-paging! Don’t start with the newest video! Go watch the original Animation versus Animator first and work your way up through the 11 episodes released so far! Then go watch the Minecraft ones in order. There is a story being built up, and it’s meant to be watched in order. Then watch the bonus videos after…[Read more]

@ellette-giselle Not sure why you’re so horrified, they’re literally the exact same questions you asked……..
I can confirm, Linus is not an AI, cause if he were, it’d be hard for him to come up with several fantasy races AND keep it consistent throughout. I’ve messed around with generative AI before (although I never use it to write for…[Read more]

Thank you for the feedback! I’m glad you liked it, and to here it is better that the last one in your opinion is encoraging.
Yeah, reading the outline kind of takes those surprises away, doesn’t it?
Sara probably felt underdeveloped because I just kind of threw her in there, so I haven’t spent the time to figure her out yet.…[Read more]

Good chapters! The rebellion is reminding me of the church meetings in my story.
Jonathan’s adjustment is pretty realistic. He’s struggling, but wants to please the people who are teaching him despite himself.
I don’t really know why they can’t just let him go–that was a bit blurry for me. I know he was captured and taken…[Read more]

Four new chapters today! 😳
Don’t feel like you have to read them all right away if you don’t have time. This is the end of Part 2.
