Oh no!!! Not Leon!!
Good section. One thing I noticed was that you mentioned that the people were able to find a lot of food during the winter… then you said that it had been hard on everyone, especially the wolves. I get that they eat meat and not plants, but it was kind of confusing.
otherwise, good job! 😬

Dun dun duuuunnnn.
Nice! I really liked those last few chapters!
Notes…
Poor Julian. He’s a lonely little guy.
Night was falling fast and there was no shelter. They were hemmed in by high cliffs on either side, and the wind shrieked down the path.
This section made me think of Carahadras. Brrrrrrr.
…
Hmm. They seemed to…[Read more]

Yay!! They finally found shelter!
Good transitioning scenes. I feel bad for the woman and the kids though.

@ellette-giselle ok but that’s basically what the stereotypes of those countries are, I can see where people got the imagery

Good section. I don’t have much to say about it. The stakes are rising.
“How are you boys holding up?”
“Fine, but we’re freezing,” Rolf said.
This took me back to that one scene with the soldiers… 😳 I was like, “Oh no.”

It’s as if Rome was in Germany. So, a lot of good roads and cities and towns along those roads. However, if you get away from the roads, it’s pretty open. However, Rolf is referring to the idea that just about anyone they encounter is most likely an enemy, plus they are being hunted by the army.
Okay.

Why did this section make me think of The Sound of Music?
Two more weeks passed and then came another fall of snow.
These one sentence time skips aren’t bad, I just have a habit of missing them and then getting confused. Bad habit, that. The whole escape happened so fast and I kept missing things that I had no idea why they…[Read more]

@ellette-giselle wow….interesting section! I feel a bit bad for the one who believed right before the priest slashed his throat. But I agree with Leon, the sadness is tempered by the fact that they are in the presence of God Himself now.

Oh really? I love them. It’s so fun to start tying them together in subtle ways.
Oh don’t get me wrong, I still love it.

And neither of the two guys have met. 😂
And that’s when things get fun, when characters are technically connected but they haven’t met yet

Multiple POVs are lowkey traumatizing for my brain because you have to tie so many different colored strings together. It’s madness. Madness, I tell yea.
Escape while you still can… *Gazes into the distance* *Flops face down into my pile of manuscripts*

But it’s a three-way POV, so there are two other MCs.
Three-way POVs for the win. 🙃 I’m doing the same thing with my dream project. It’s so complex though, takes forever to figure out. But it is easier to make one MC less likable and tuck their POV under the rug until they’ve developed enough to root for.

I’m just going to let him grow on people as the story goes.
That makes sense. Is he a side character? I feel as if side characters are given more grace when it comes to these things because the story’s POV doesn’t depend on them. Protagonists with that personality are more difficult because readers don’t want to deal with that r…[Read more]
