Lucy had seen a dead body before. She almost spoke up to that effect, but found that her teeth were chattering.  “I – hm. That is probably correct.”

She awkwardly shuffled around to face away, covered her eyes with one hand, and took the Protector’s hand with the other.

Pro tip – if I think KP might glitch, or if my post will be of substantial length, I write it in an email draft. That way I can copy-paste instead of rewrite.
