Yep. Youtube, Emma.
@kate-flouroy I have? This is an existential crisis moment. But he disliked me a little? That’s. Absolutely. Terrible! *hides in a hole and covers top* What if I gave him youtube. Then he could watch the king of random and oh! he would be so happy and would no doubt love me for it. Right? Right?
Right?

@emma-flournoy Um, well, communication isn’t his stronghold of course, but he is good at summarizing things. Do people actually look at your manuals? Just give them links to youtube videos is my suggestion.

@kate-flournoy I’ll make sure to be armed with some WD-40 when I meet him. That way if he is a bad guy and captures me, I can always ransom myself. Does this world have WD-40? If not, I’ll be extra safe.

Who’s Ciaran? Is that a sibling of yours? I hardly know your family 🙁 Not very good and gathering in information by osmosis.

@kate-flournoy Yeah. Drills and saws and wires gears and stuff. Mechanic. Engineer. Inventor. Knows how anything works without having ever seen it before and with a blindfold on and half his brain tied behind his back.

@kate-flournoy ISTP!!!!
I get those letters all confused in my head.
Yes, that would be incredibly shocking if he was an INFP, wouldn’t it? heh heh heh.

Daeus replied to the topic The Mind of a Writer in the forum General Writing Discussions 9 years, 7 months ago
@emma-flournoy That’s hilarious. Conrad is as far from an INFP as you could imagine.

Oh, no! Don’t lose your star to the black hole @emma-flournoy! The black hole want’s to swallow up your star, but you can’t let it.
Keep the star alive!!!

Never mind. I guess they’re the same category anyways. That’d be neat if there was someone who was a cross between two categories though.

@kate-flournoy I was thinking about pattern, but feel does make more sense.
So if Emma is a mix, what are here eyes?

Daeus replied to the topic The Mind of a Writer in the forum General Writing Discussions 9 years, 7 months ago
@emma-flournoy Uum… not quite 😛
My dad is an INTJ
Conrad is an INFP
Kina is an ESTP
I don’t know about Jakin.
I don’t know about Diara either, but it’s quite likely she’s an ENFP
Then, of course, Deron is an ENFP -

@kate-flournoy Is that the actual shape of the iris (or whatever it’s called) or is that the “feel” of the eye?
-
Daeus replied to the topic The Mind of a Writer in the forum General Writing Discussions 9 years, 7 months ago
@kate-flournoy You know, you’re right about that eye thing. I never noticed it before, but between the known Js and Ps in my family and those few I know the types for outside my family, I think that seems to fit. Might not remember one or two’s eyes perfectly, but it seems true. It’s a simple trick too, which I like.
My little brother’s eyes are…[Read more]

Hey, you’re are first elf on here so far, @Ethryndal. Watch out for the dragons.
I was about to say that I entered the same contest, but then I realized I actually didn’t 😛 Double congratulations because you didn’t procrastinate like I did.

He was raised a cult? I guess that makes sense.
It didn’t disturb me in book one, but I just read the chapter about the blood oath celebration and that was pretty occult. Very disturbing. Anybody know if there are any other scenes like that later on? I’d want to skip something like that again.

@kate-flournoy That’s a helpful clarification. I’m not sure about my brother though. Maybe it’s not as clear since he’s younger. I think he’s fairly organized. I noticed it’s easy to get him to wear matching clothes if that counts. He seems to try to get his own way but is also very ready to follow. I don’t think of him as stubborn. He’s the best…[Read more]

Giant carnivorous snails?
Ok, new favorite characters even though I haven’t met them yet. The idea just tickles me.

As a reader, I generally prefer historical fiction, but I still really like fantasy.
As a writer, though I find that I like almost all genres, what I really love about fantasy and that is the one reason I will probably write more of it than some other genres is that I don’t have to stick to facts. The only thing that is important in fantasy is a…[Read more]
