@Emma-Flournoy ummmmmmmm… yeah. All in the subtext, deary.
Let’s see… one of my favorite quotes, not necessarily about writing, but about life, which is about writing in a way… or is writing about life? I don’t remember anymore. 😛 Anyway, I love this quote. It’s attributed to William Wallace.
Every man dies. Not every man truly lives.

@Daeus awesome. I’m trying to get Harold out— eh, never mind. Spoilers. 😉 I’m continuing the rewrite of Uncharted, and I got 1,067 words written. I’m also very pleased with what I wrote, which is rare. 😛 I’m at a very crowded, intricate place right now, so I was pleased that I could manage it carefully and still get something that snapped, if…[Read more]

@Daeus yes. It could be that as well.
If you’re writing now, I’m available…

What meaning would you give it, by the way?
Ummm… something along the lines of what @Bluejay said, @Daeus, though I was more thinking somehow mankind was more blessed to see the fragments of something than they would have been to see it whole. Like, maybe brokenness was more beautiful… or useful…or something…heh. 😛
I actually have…[Read more] -

@Daeus interesting… what’s your MBTI type again?? I though INFPs were supposed to be the weird ones. 😀
That is a lovely poem though.

Kate Flournoy replied to the topic Faith and Prayer in the forum General Writing Discussions 9 years, 10 months ago
@Daeus beautifully said. I couldn’t agree more. God doesn’t need us to ask Him— He wants us to because He is a Father, and He loves spending time with His children. Prayer is a form of worship.

Ooh, good discussion @Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise. I haven’t done a lot of thinking on this, but the first thing that popped into my head when I read your post was this verse:
The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but deliverance is of the Lord.
Proverbs 21:31Quite simply, we are instructed to prepare and leave the rest to God. As @Hope is…[Read more]

@ClaireC please don’t think I’m ignoring you. I’ll read this eventually; it’s just I’m incredibly busy lately and don’t have time for much extra. When I do read it, you may be sure I’ll tell you what I think. 😉

@Jess I’m contemplating reading it as well. Right now, I’m in the middle of reading the Fellowship of the Ring for the third time. 😉

@clairec Wow, I loved it! Great with the characters and the story! Keep writing because you’ve got a gift from God. 😉

@Jess I’ve read the Silmarillion! It’s well worth your time, if you enjoy Tolkien. It’s not one story, but a collection of stories that together cover the creation, corruption, and judgment of an entire land. Allegorical, obviously. 😉 Some of the stories I didn’t care for, but some were absolutely brilliant. I recommend it to any reader with…[Read more]

@ClaireC, it’s two syllables— Flor Noy. The Flour rhymes with door. *Big grin* Thanks for asking; most people assume they’ve got it figured out and then proceed to murder it every time they say it. 😀

@Jess, Ohh, I’ve heard of Chuck Black, but I’ve never read any of his books. I’ll have to add his books to my very, VERY long TBR list… 😉 Haha, I don’t know of anyone who doesn’t like J. R. R. Tolkien (I’m a huge fan, so no worries there!). I’ve heard of Ranger’s Apprentice, too. I’ll also add that to my list. 🙂
You’re a fellow…[Read more] -

@Bluejay, No, I haven’t read Presumption, but I love Pride and Prejudice, so I’ll have to check it out. 🙂 I’ll have to read Fairest and the others you mentioned, too. I have so many books I want to read!!!
