Well… listening to the video I was enthusiastically raking my entire cast together against the protagonist and now you tell me I can only pick three!? *sigh* Life is hard.
Denholm: Harold’s friend and nephew. The one guy who stuck with him through everything and wholeheartedly believes that the world is worth saving and can be saved,…[Read more]

@PrincessFoo welcome! And unfortunately I have no experience with co-writing. At all. :/ One possible option for your specific dilemma, however, may simply be to alternate chapters/scenes between what’s happening with your character and what’s happening with hers even before they meet, assuming the plot/structure works that way.

@princessfoo Hiya! Welcome to the bestistest place on the internets!
Hmmm. Well, I’ve co-written some, though I haven’t done it in a bit. First thing I would ask is if your characters are going to cross paths at some point. I suggest discussing where each of you are going with your own plots, if you haven’t already. That way you can understand…[Read more] -

This is doing a weird thing that seems to be happening a lot lately…I replied, had to edit my reply, and when I posted again it didn’t show up. *sigh*
I’ll see if I can post it again later. -

@Abigail-Blomberg Wow. What everyone else said. :’o You got emotion in there all right.
I copied some sentences that have errors in them, besides the ‘lays’ Kate pointed out—I pasted them here, and you can probably figure out what the error is, but if I should point it out go ahead and ask me to. 🙂
But good job!!I peal shoe off my…

Emma Flournoy replied to the topic The Antihero in the forum General Writing Discussions 9 years, 6 months ago
@Daeus @Adry_Grace Thanks. So then, the definition ‘anti-hero’ does not mean someone who is anti hero—against the hero in the story—but it means, anti hero—not like a hero in character. Right?
I agree, Adry Grace—the flaws they have should be shown as such. As with any character, really. 😉Daeus this probably has a very obvious answer,…[Read more]

@Adry_Grace Yeah, that is weird. It happened to me a few days ago on the Les Mis thread, but I was able to post it later. I got the notification by e-mail—here’s what you said:
@emma-flournoy That’s a good thought.
I do not think that a hero is NECESSARY to an antihero. I think an antihero can function just as well as a character without a…

My novel is fantasy, but my stories tend to be very character driven (as appose to plot driven)
*serious nod* That sounds very good. 🙂 I usually like character driven stories better than plot driven ones.

Guy, all of these!! Wow. I hope someday some of you are going to enter art contests.
@Ethryndal That picture of Dallan! XD
I’d definitely see him with more of a mean and self-centered sneering expression than that drawing has, but hey, if he was nice, maybe he’d have that happy sort of face! 😀
And the drawing itself…the SHADING! It’s so real. -

@widdrim Obi-Wan is my favorite in the prequels, and Han Solo is mine in the originals.
I’ve been playing for six months or so now… 😛 But I’ve been playing guitar for 2-4 years.
@graciegirl Ah, I’ve seen Rogue One as well. -

@Aysia-Serene These characters haven’t been done yet.
Erika Paige, female, nineteen. Tall, a little bony, dark-ish skin and a light dusting of freckles, with grey-green eyes and a veritable mop of brilliant red hair. She’s a mechanic… her story is steampunk, so she makes steam-powered robots and drones and such… and she also dresses like a Victo…[Read more]
