@hope I agree with most of what everybody else is saying (which is pretty much the same thing). However, I do understand what your “respected friend” says. The Bible does talk about offending another Christian by using something associated with something bad (the Bible uses eating meat offered to idols). You should be willing to give up what…[Read more]

@christi-eaton
Hello!
I saw that you mentioned something about doing Beauty and the Beast? Are you in drama? *excited squeal* I have been doing drama the last four years through our homeschool co-op and love it! What shows have you done (and who have you played?) 🙂 -

You know you are a writer when you go for a while without writing or doing some type of story, and you strongly get the urge that you need to write or make up a story in some form right then. 🙂

@daeus I’m signing out now. I didn’t get much done, except now I feel like I can’t write….*ugh* 😛
Good luck! -

@daeus Well, I found that character charts didn’t really work for me…so I’m just trying to figure these guys out by interviews…which is getting old fast…I think I’ll try backstories.
You see….I can’t stand doing the characterization. *bows head* It is my weakness. -

@daeus I haven’t written prose in so long it hurts. I’m here, even if I am just characterizing. *sigh*

@graciegirl It’s only about 5K words, and yeah, it would be nice if you read it to give me a feel for the plot and pacing. I think the pacing’s a little off.

@kate-flournoy I’ve actually never beta-read before. The only beta-thing I’ve done before was the KP theme mastery. 😀
… *sidelong glance* Do you have something I can beta-read?? -

@hope What they said. I was thinking what they said but I couldn’t get it down on paper in time to reply. 😛
It’s like a cake that tastes really bad. The cake is terrible, but the ingredients are fine. Choose your ingredients wisely.
Also, I love the Game of Thrones music, and a lot of other music from movies that I will never watch, but that…[Read more] -

Good point @Daeus; I hadn’t thought of it in reference to that scripture.

@Hope knee-jerk responses can be dangerous but we has one now and we shall just spit it all out so we can organize our thoughts. 😛
As far as music goes, it’s an art form just as much as anything else. The purpose of art— all of it— is to reflect the beauty and order of God’s creation. Fan-fiction, if you will. *wink* We can all tell the…[Read more]

Howdy!
YES! I love drama! I was recently in a completely original stage version of Beauty and the Beast, and I played a very flirtatious seamstress named Madame Claudet. That was a ton of fun. I’ve also played Cosette in Les Miserables (sorry not the musical) and I had a role in Oscar Wilde’s Lady Windermere’s fan. I played Lady Plymdale in that…[Read more]
@christi-eaton Awesome! The high school class at our homeschool co-op did Les Mis last year ago (they did Much Ado about Nothing this year which was a lot of fun to watch!) with the same drama teacher that I have. All the drama classes at the co-op are taught by her. 🙂 One of the other drama classes did Beauty and the Beast last year and that…[Read more]

Hmmm…favorite role….probably Madame Claudet in Beauty and the Beast. I had a blast with that outrageous character. Though I loved my costumes with Cosette. I had the most beautiful wedding dress. Ohh I love the idea of doing Esther. We are studying that at church right now. Sounds like you are having a great time in theatre!…[Read more]
