AWWWW! Thank you Greta! <3 You are super sweet. Sarah really made my day with that email. 🙂 (although she's the one who really should be winning the superhero title every month) 🙂

I like Shakespeare for the most part, and I do like this. It’s interesting. Nice work, it’s always fun to experiment.

@GabrielleMassman Welcome! Glad to have you aboard! Ah, another Les Miserables fan who has actually read the book. I like you already! Seriously, I could go on for ages why that book is spectacular… Anyway, I’m Christine, but I go by Christi, I’m fairly active around here, by either writing some content for the website or hanging around the…[Read more]

@sierra-r I got 45, probably because I really don’t do novel writing, and because I have very little time to write for fun 🙂

Christine Eaton replied to the topic Love Triangles— what the Classical Authors knew that we don't. in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 2 months ago
Brilliant forum post @kate-flournoy, I enjoyed reading this one. You should write a whole article on this topic. It would be great! One of my strongest pet peeves from a love triangle is when the main character cannot possibly seem to choose between two guys and just keeps leading both on by continuing to flirt with both and even kissing both.…[Read more]

@Daeus I really like this. 🙂 It makes me want to read it. I think having your name at the bottom would be better. Compared to your last drafts this is really fantastic. I especially like the writing in the background, which gives it that perfect mysterious and historical feel. I can’t wait to see the final version.

@S-G-Dewey, Well, I would not say that I am an adventurer, but if could manage to get myself back East to various places such as Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Virginia, (especially Virginia) I would be quite content. But many of my friendships are long distance and air fare from California is not cheap 🙂 but that is the way life is I’m afraid.

@S-G-Dewey Even though Kate seemed to beat me to it, welcome to the bestestiest place on the internet. 🙂 *attempts to bow gracefully and fails* Christine Eaton at your service. Let me start off by saying I’m so happy you found your way into this lovely kingdom of ours. How did you find out about KP?
Wow, 14 siblings is quite a lot. :)…[Read more]

@Ethryndal It did not until you said something 🙂
But I’m fine with the name, I like it actually. Besides, people are always going to find something little like that. Plus there is no sense changing his name because if you are satisfied with it, there is nothing else that will fit. I thought about changing the name of a pirate character of mine.…[Read more]

Well, if he is a rebel maybe you could put a word like “Rebel” in his name, perhaps The Rebel Arrow or something with the word “Renegade”
@ethryndalHopefully that can spark something for ya. 🙂 Quite honestly, I’m terrible when it comes to names (especially if they are supposed to sound “cool”) 😉
When you do settle on something you will have…[Read more]

@daeus, I’m sorry you felt that way. It does have great points. It’s very understandable though. 🙂 I have put down books others have highly recommended too, so I’ll forgive you. 😉 (also because you did enjoy the Fiddler’s Gun and we both have a love for the Count of Monte Cristo) 🙂

@aysia-serene 🙂 🙂 Haha! Yes! Let them skip the line. 🙂 I hope I can have a conversation with you about the Atonement Child when you are finished.

@aysia-serene The Atonement Child. Read it. Love it. Cry – a lot. It’s very heavy though. But it is very powerful. If you are fine with Mark of the Lion you won’t have a problem. Also, another one I really enjoyed was Bridge to Haven.

@aysia-serene YESSS!!! The Mark of the Lion is an amazing book series. I’ve been wanting to write a review on it but because there are some very heavy subjects / slightly graphic scenes, (though I believe Rivers handled them very well) I’ve held off for some of the younger viewers. I’ve had more than one conversation with some people on this forum…[Read more]

@aysia-serene I’m glad you came out of the shadows! Francine Rivers is also one of my absolute favorite authors! It sounds like we have the same tastes in books. I’m so glad you enjoy KP. One of the things that drives me to keep publishing on here is the encouragement and the community. I hope you won’t go back in the shadows because I love seeing…[Read more]
