Okay, well, I’ll write my thingy again
Is there any popular trope or writing style you don’t get the hype for?
Can be any kind of trope! Romantic, hero’s journey, maybe a specific character archetype.I found out over time that I don’t really like the trope where the government is over-controlling and tyrannical. The idea is realistic, it’s j…[Read more]

(By the way, this is the 101st TotW post! Kind of cool.)

@elishavet-pidyon You’ve published some of your animal fantasy books, correct? I’m not very big into animal fantasy, but i have a friend who is. Her birthday is coming up, and I was wondering where I could purchase one or two of your books for her.

Oh, sorry for the late response!
I haven’t published yet. I’m touched that you’d want to get them though. 🙂 When is her birthday? I could send/share printable short stories. (In fact, quite a few KeePers could do a compilation)
If you want to get her some great animal fantasy books though, I would 100% recommend The Mistantle Chronicles by…[Read more] -
Also! Kylie Beevers ( @livingwoodchronicles ) is a KeePer that’s published. She has a fun series about a kingdom of foxes. The first book is Rise of the Living Wood. I think the second one is coming out soon. It’s sold on Amazon, and maybe in some book stores? I liked it. 🙂

Her birthday party is tomorrow (I’m late getting to this because I didn’t know until about a week ago) and I do have a gift for her that i got just in case I couldn’t get a book in time. Thank you for the suggestions, i might just get her a belated birthday present after the party. Thx again

Me and my sister will get DnD supplies soon! 😄 I found several friends to play with irl as well. None of us has experience, so I’ll have to learn the DM role by myself.

A list of suggestions, because lists seem to help me. :]
1. SLEEP.
2. Think hard to see if there are any emotional problems holding you back. Maybe you’re comparing your work to other people too much. Maybe you struggle to connect with your first draft because it doesn’t have the same punch you expected it to have.
Then, if there…[Read more]

Or I’ll take something important to the character from them. (Like Toothless’s tail fin.)
You just triggered my repressed obsession for HTTYD and I’m not complaining. The Vikings are many things, but they are not ableist, and it’s so well done. 😂

Yeah. I have an even split of disabilities caused during the stories and before. So many of them have to do with mobility. And then I realized, ‘oh duh, I’m just writing what I know.’ XD

Or combine option A and option B so some characters die, some are permanently wounded, but they did it for a good trade, and so ultimately accept it as a win-win. I love inflicted-and-permanent disability, it’s such a useful trope. (Plus it adds some much-needed disability rep.)

Ah, good. I was also mildly bamboozled for a minute. XD
It is a very big book! And I don’t think we made anything too crazy in chemistry, but there were mild chemical reactions, and I dissected a pregnant shark. Maybe that’s irregular, though. Was that in Challenge 2…? 🤔
Hehehehe the teacher will never know… ὠ…

Yeah, it was a little weird jumping in mid-year, but I’m glad I did.
Good! It can be rough jumping from one thing to another.
That seems like a given, but I don’t think I’ve ever went through an entire history of America in order—more like isolated events and time periods.
Yeah, same, up until that point. And for me, we focused more on…[Read more]

I’ve only done this year and the last half of Challenge 2
I have a classmate who started just like that.
I also enjoyed American history and Shakespeare (somewhat.)
History is fun! I like Challenge 4’s history best, but it was cool to learn about all the unfamiliar American events.
Unfortunately, I don’t think I’m close enough to you t…

Also, just out of curiosity… are you going to a homeschool prom in the next three weeks or so? I know you’re closer to me than most, and it’s always fun to check.

@hybridore
Oh yes. I’m pretty happy with the length requirements because they don’t expect too much, while also allowing for some flexibility. My friend, who has a bunch of extracurricular assignments, is writing 50 pages. I would have been down for that (because my topic is complicated), but my tutor only prepared us one semester in adv…[Read more]

20 pages total, 14 already written, and I’m probably going to go a couple pages over that limit. 😂
