Haha, thanks y’all! 💜 I still do a lot of tracing often🫣 (although I’ve heard from a professional artist that she still does most of the time too, so XD) but I’ve been drawing on and off for years…just rarely share art bc I’m often too ashamed of it to do so😅😅
Hey I trace too! It’s not too big of a deal, I’ve heard it’s im…[Read more]

Aaahhh you’re an official artsy person 😄 (Or maybe you were all along, and I didn’t realize.) Those are so fun, I like the varied colors on the girl’s shirt!
It’s interesting that you use solid coloring stuff like pencils, I just don’t have the patience to color in a piece. Good on you for that.

I get what you mean about the good thing! A lot of it can be really bad/dumb/demonic! thats why I monitor it!
Yeah, I love movies and books like Coraline, it’s amazing and if someone dislikes horror I usually point them to that. It has such a valid reason to be a horror story.
😅😅😐
Explain yourself, or we will defenestrate you. &…

Horror- Most horror is pretty pointless, but when it’s good, it’s good. (Yes this is a hot take, and I can explain myself if asked 😂) I like stories that have elements of horror if it makes the story more raw and compelling.
Drama- No opinion.
Historical Fiction- It depends on what the author puts into the story besides just the historical fact…[Read more]

Thank you! I don’t like scraping sounds either, but believe it or not, I love the sound of scraping shells.

Yay!! Ideas! 😁 I had an idea to invent a couple fantasy species over my vacation. One of them was a creature who is made out of shifting pieces of a hard shell-like material. Basically calcium carbonate, the stuff in eggshells and limestone. And their joints crackle and scrape as they walk. I haven’t thought much about what they look like yet.

Alpha
“I’ll try clearing the channel, but it may take a minute, and…” Alpha watched Silvia’s reaction to the body on the floor.
“I-I’m sorry, Silvia. I wasn’t thinking, I allowed my warrior side to take control.” Alpha shook, and the hand that held his shirt against his wound tightened its grip. “This shouldn’t have happened. Here, l…[Read more]

Marcel
Marcel watched Leo and Rory focus on their ear pieces. As they became more distracted, he sat upright. His shoulders spasmed erratically. “I can punch one more guy. No p-prob.”

Heheheh 😈 Spoilers I guess, but the characters all end up in little groups, and Crosshair and Mundy are in the same group.

Ooooooh okay, I gotcha. 👍 No familial ties, no relationships at all. That’s much more sterile and dystopian than I thought you were going tor. But this makes much more sense.
Do they have some way of suppressing hormones, like in The Giver?

Really? If the moodboard is any indication, I think you’re gorgeous, girl <3 🤣

Okay, reproduction is allowed, but only through government selection.
Okay, check. Makes sense.
Yes, I do have that under control.
How does the government get rid of those desires?
Haha, this isn’t marriage at all. Marriage isn’t a promise to stay together, and it isn’t a government contract. Marriage is a holy and sacred coven…

Okay, so you’re going for a more ambiguous setting with more brainwashing? I do love The Giver and Fahrenheit 451, I like the genre.
I feel like most of what you just said doesn’t really have much to do with the story………
…Well I said this:
Because it doesn’t make much sense from the perspective of a government to deny heterosex…

Okay great 😊 (If anyone is sensitive please skip reading.)
This is just a big brainstorm post, maybe it will be helpful.
Why would everyone give up as a group on heterosexuality? American culture overwhelmingly enjoys any depiction of male-female pleasure, it is an integral part of our culture. (It’s disgusting, but here we a…[Read more]

So I like the idea of a marriage themed dystopia, but I do have some questions because some of this doesn’t make sense and could be cleared up. Can I ask a few things?

Cool, I listened to it while writing.
I’m still tinkering away at this! but casually. And I actually have to write future scenes before posting the next bit because of all the plot threads, deaths, etc etc etc.
