@jenwriter17 heh… I’ve got the opposite problem. 😛
*scratches head* I would say probably the number one thing that makes my novels so ridiculously long is the crazy amount of time I spend really delving into the layers of chemistry in live scenes. I try to do all live scenes if I possibly can (no summaries, no overviews, no generalizations)…[Read more]

@rochellaine Yes. They are necessary. I’ve had some people get very concerned with some of my random knowledge…
Look, starving a character doesn’t bother me too much. I mean, it leaves you feel blegh, but compared to a lot of things it is kinda lucky. Compare starving to a lot of mental torture and you’ll probably feel better. Or, if you are in…[Read more]

@rochellaine @seekjustice
Glad that this may come in handy at some point, even if not right now.@rochellaine Hmm… I’d be willing to say yes, it would still apply to someone slim. (Note: All research on these topics has been ethical and no injuries were caused by me or were prentable by me) I purely assume this because my siblings are type one…[Read more]

@rochellaine @seekjustice Just thinking, on this conversation about hungry after not eating and things, after about 3-7 days the body adjusts to not eating and starts burning fat instead. This would leave a person lethargic and very susceptible to illness, but after their body reaches this point it doesn’t tend to feel hunger. (No clue if that is…[Read more]

@rochellaine @seekjustice Ack sorry! The internet crashed, but I’m back now.
Oooooh, nice snippet!
Yes, I write in 1st person present tense, but I’ve also done 1st person past and 3rd person past. I find it easier to write this way actually, it makes me feel more connected, and then I could just make them drop dead at any given point. xP But I…[Read more]

@rochellaine Oh well! As long as you’re still enjoying the writing. And often it is hard to get back into something after a longish break. *nodnod*
My characters… are kinda in shock? Well, Connor is. And he is aware of it and trying to ignore everything and agh. *pats him*
Laura failed, and now it is left to me.
The door opens at the slight…

@rochellaine Wellllll, I’ve finished all I technically need to for Camp NaNo, but I’m only about a third of the way through. *flops* My main worry is that this book seems to be looking like it will be reaching the 150k mark before edits.
How about you?
