@bluejay In my rather big and obnoxious opinion, the hardest thing about writing is not actually sitting down and doing it (once I start, I can pretty much keep going), but sitting down and doing that instead of something else. It’s always easier for me to start those distracting “elses”. So how do I we fix this? You might be thinking by now that…[Read more]

Well… dive in. 😉
What, that’s not helpful?!? Whazza mazza wis you @bluejay?!?
But really, my best trick is just to start going. Don’t think about how terrible your writing is— don’t think about how awfully your prose is flowing. Just write and write and write until you’re ‘in the zone’. You can always go back and fix the flow later if you…[Read more]

Gee guys, @kate-flournoy , @daeus , and @bluejay , I should have applied to you sooner! Thanks:) I can feel my creative juices being stimulated already.
I’m glad y’all like my poem. I liked it when I wrote it, but by the time I was done editing I wasn’t so sure anymore, you know?
Do y’all like the way it reads with the punctuation I chose?…[Read more]

@bluejay I was thinking along the lines of a retelling. But that seems, in retrospect, a bit complicated for the length we’re doing in this topic.
Here, have a new prompt.write about a world where the hokey-pokey really is what it’s all about.

@gretald What a fun list of shows. The Three Little Pigs one sounds fun! :p And oh, Anne in Anne of Green Gables! Why haven’t our theaters done that show I wonder? Though I’m probably more of the Diane type, that would be a fantastic show! Do you have a favorite show? (musical or drama)
@bluejay I’m actually just hoping to be a chorus member.…[Read more]

@bluejay *pats your shoulder and hands you a tissue* There, there don’t cry young lassie. Oh I’m so sorry to hear your health is a bother! I completely understand. I had a few years where my health was a large challenge. (I’ll pray for you 🙂 I know it’s tough)
Yes, I believe I’ve done 8 community shows so far. (Fiddler on the Roof, Little Women,…[Read more] -

@bluejay and @Anna-Brie Oops, I meant besides you. Sorry. 🙂 Thanks for the list. It seems I’ve heard of Jackie French somewhere, but not the others. I’ll look for them.
@overcomer– I grew up in Virginia! It’s one of my favorite states.

@bluejay Yes I did see the Joseph in 2011! Best theater show I’ve ever seen!
Wow you had the lead roles there!! How exciting! I’m taking it you like musicals then. And yes the Sound of Music is on my bucket list as well. But it’s been performed around here so often that it might be awhile before a theater decides to do that show. Next week though…[Read more] -

It is totally an excellent brain exercise, @bluejay. Do it. 😉
And thanks @levipierpont! That’s really cool— I hadn’t thought about giving them physical limitations that extend to the entire race. That’s really… I hadn’t thought about it. 😀

Hey @bluejay ,
I’m from the state of Virginia, which is the best place to live in the whole entire world. Totally kept a straight face! 😉
Seriously though, it is a great place to live:) The weather is completely dependably inconsistent in it’s behavior. So much so that we here are not surprised to find Christmas hot, and snow on…[Read more]

@bluejay voting is actually super easy. All you have to do is look at a candidate’s voting record. If they have consistently voted with what you agree, vote for them. If their voting is more then just ever so slightly inconsistent, don’t. If they say something contrary to their voting record, ignore them completely. If the candidate you like…[Read more]

Actually, I would say Ted Cruz is doing pretty amazing right now even if he is just a little behind Trump. Even if he loses, what he’s already done is practically a miracle. Never has such a pure conservative done so well – almost ever.
This. So much this. It makes me so happy, actually, @Daeus.
