Here are all the fairy tales I can think of:
Sleeping Beauty
Cinderella
Snow White
Rapunzel
The Snow Queen (the original version of FROZEN before Disney)
Beauty and the Beast
Pinocchio
Hansel and Gretel
Thumbelina and Tom ThumbI know there are more, but not the basic ones. Wikipedia has a List of Fairy Tales page.

@bluejay I know it’s probably like six in the morning over there, but I’m going to try and get some writing done while my brothers are in history class, so if by some wonderful chance you’re on here this early, I’d love for you to join me. 🙂

@bluejay I vote we leave a week in between for reading the chapters. I think school starting again really threw everyone a curveball, and we should slow down a little until schedules get back on track.

@Daeus – Thank you, and it is very similar. I was actually in Ohio for three weeks in July helping my aunt. Could I have that ice cream? I haven’t had any in two days!
@Dragon Snapper – I might have a spare crown or necklace or two I could give you. Though Robin prefers giving the gold to the poor and ailing, not dragons. But I might be able to…[Read more]

@bluejay Well, I have written a Rapunzel retelling, and unpublished Sleeping Beauty retelling, and am currently working on a Hansel and Gretel retelling… As for other fairy tales, have you heard of Rooglewood? They have three books out now, each with five novellas in them focused around one story: Five Glass Slippers (Cinderella); Five Enchanted…[Read more]

Hey everyone! Let me try tagging ya’ll @spradlin @theliterarycrusader @winter-rose @overcomer @jess @dragon-snapper @hope @aratrea @clairec @anna-brie @sarah-h
I’m seeing a lot of new faces. Not a lot of the people I used to interact with when the forum began, though. Kind of sad. And happy.
So it seems like people here like the Hero’s Journey,…[Read more]

@bluejay I’ll be asleep by then. 🙂 I really want to write some more soon; it’s been getting harder to find a time when my brothers aren’t using all the electronics (I think that’s the wrong word for it, but oh well). Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be able to write some. 🙂

@bluejay We’re on at the same time!! Yay! I’ll tell him that. He’ll be encouraged to know that someone on the other side of the world is praying for him. 🙂 And he’s not the only one who needs it. This morning our pastor preached a sermon saying that he believes in theistic evolution, and Genesis is just figurative. My other brother (I have four;…[Read more]

@bluejay Have you tried this kind yet? I wish I could have found lists with better words in them; the first two look pretty hopeless.

@bluejay @clairec Oh, thank you! He’s sleeping right now, but tomorrow I’ll ask him about it. From what I’ve seen though, I think he needs help arguing in a way that doesn’t make the other side super defensive. I guess you would call it tactfulness? He’s never had a conversation like this before, and he’s learning the hard way. Some other people…[Read more]

Aww, man. I so wish I could, but I can’t right now. I have to go to bed early to get up early tomorrow, and I’m getting over being sick. 🙁 Hope you find some company, though! 🙂 Can I… *glances at chocolate*…y’know…have some…*inches toward chocolate*…chocolate? Even though I’m not writing with you? You’re so nice. *grabs…[Read more] -

@bluejay Oh, it sounded like you had chosen beauty and the beast. Are there going to be others too? Unfortunately, I can’t be much help even though I do really like chocolate. I’m simply not much of a fairy tale person.

@BlueJay This idea actually reminds me of a book called The Word Changers by Ashlee Willis. I haven’t actually read the whole book thought, so I can’t tell you how similar. And you’re probably putting a completely different plot in.
You can give the beast a name. It would make him more of a realistic character, I think. There are so many…[Read more]

@bluejay Ooo, I like the story idea! And like @christi-eaton said, it does remind me a bit of Inkheart. 🙂 You will let me read it when you’re finished, won’t you? 😉

@bluejay, interesting concept, it sort of reminds me of Inkheart and the TV show Once Upon a Time. I really like it, and I’m sure you’ll do a great job in writing this. Can’t wait to read it! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Maybe everyone has doubles of themselves and that they can see. The first group of people are following their ‘act’s then the second group of people is delayed in what they are doing.
