Daeus here— I just took one of your templates and put rough lines where I was talking about. If you shrink the text inside those lines, it makes it very neat and tidy and leaves clean, empty edges to frame the quote and make it look complete.

I think it’s not so much the fact that the characters are robots, but we anthropomorphize the robots. Like, R2-D2 had a sort of stubborn, quick-witted side about him, WALL-E was curious, and the robots in the movie Robots were heavily anthropomorphized.
