Yes! Share drawings and make a picture book. I’d buy it. 😉

That’s a very good question.
It depends. Some characters I see in flashes of movement/emotion, so their exact features can be unclear. Others I see so clearly it’s irritating because finding face claims becomes twice as hard.
Part of it depends on if I’ve drawn them before, and part of it just on how connected their personality is to…[Read more]

Oh, and I’d love to see your story! (Motivation problems understood though. Lol. I’ve got some projects like that.)

Thanks! We’re thinking of getting it printed, although we’re not certain about publishing. LotR has a vicious copyright gang.
Hehe. It’s been fun. I don’t know how clear this is, but it’s a satire on multiple aspects from authors to tendencies in fantasy tropes. The fanfic side is part of that, so we’re definitely twisting the…[Read more]

My characters tend to be blurry, yeah. Some more than others. If I’ve drawn the character before, then I’ll picture an version of the drawing, just in motion. A lot of the time I just picture the motion itself, abstract, or a roughly scratched drawing. Just realized I see 70% of my charries as animated, not real life. XD
Also because…[Read more]

@anyone
Here’s a weird thing I realized while reading the portals story and I need to tell someone. Do you guys actually picture your characters’ faces in your minds while you write them to the point where you could recognize them if you met them irl? Because I have no idea how to do that. I can picture details like facial expressions or…[Read more]

Do you have any additional feedback after having read the whole thing?
What Sara said about adding in the other siblings a bit more. Most of them I couldn’t name or differentiate. Granted, I can barely keep track of my own siblings. XD
I loved Easton and Autumn! They’re so sweet and loving, and I can totally imagine them as grandparents…[Read more]

I need to think about the fear responses.
How long would your character survive the zombie apocalypse?
I’m tempted to say they’d all be fine since they don’t seem to have much in the way of brains…XD
Ryla would try to feed them baked goods instead of brains and would die.
Ardon would probably die trying to protect Ryla, but if he…[Read more]

Ok. Sorry this took a bit. I’ve written several RPs, but deleted all of them. XD
Viktor
That had been fun. Viktor helped Hugo order their samples into the box the teacher had given them, listening with a distant smile to the conversations around him. It was nice to listen to the other two boys talk and know he could join…[Read more]

Eekers! Well, I’ll head over there then. I should have checked, considering you were on the RP thread. *taps nose* *poofs*
Thank you! ❤️

Maybe if I watched the Spiderman movie again, I’d have a different opinion. It’s been a while. That’s what I remember.

I did not notice you asked questions, my apologies!
So how could a death help the plot?
I feel like it really depends on the plot itself. I know that’s a vague answer and isn’t helpful. XD But there are so many different character arcs and plots out there, so I can’t come up with rules for every one of them. Just think of a…[Read more]

@everyone would people be ok with making classes end early today to give the students time to get ready and to make the dance come quicker? I’m thinking one more class period, lunch, and then one last class.
Sounds perfect to me

In fact I like Enid’s instinctual response so much that it might just end up in her story anyway

I’m answering the zombie question first because it’s easier.
– Marcel can just fly up to the highest skyscraper and migrate whenever the zombies finally make it up the hundred-floor stairs. Hehe.
– Enid puts on war paint and goes out like a champ. She knows she won’t last long anyway. She probably finds a stage with speakers and makes this long…[Read more]

Reading everyone’s answers to this question is really fun. I should post answers for my own characters sometime soon.
But, in the meantime, a second question: How long would your character survive the zombie apocalypse?
(The first question is still open for answers, of course)

Their story is inspired by Chinese fantasy… so… ancient China… mixed with elements of, like, Japan and Korea… and my own crazy fascinations.
That sounds really cool!
I just finished reading a Brandon Sanderson book that was partially based off of Japan and ancient Korea and I really liked that style of world building.
