@ellette-giselle Weirdly enough, I actually kinda liked Julian’s POV. It was interesting to see someone who was technically monotheistic, but it wasn’t the true God, and how Julian reacted to that. I feel like even if you chuck the story for now, you should save the concept for either later in the book or a different one.

@whalekeeper nope, I’m not a board games/roleplay games person. My friend and I did a warrior cats tabletop game once, but it didn’t last long. I only play roleplay games (mostly warrior cats or dragon-themed) on computer now.

@ellette-giselle makes sense. I still feel like something’s not right, but maybe I’m just looking for little tells you’ve put in your other stories when the main characters get captured/executed that aren’t there in this one, and that’s throwing me off.

Reading through it again, I realized most of my “improvements” were already there and I missed them, but there’s still something I can’t put my finger on that doesn’t make sense.

@ellette-giselle honestly hybridlore’s got a point. It happened as a result of their faith, yes, but it’s been long enough in the story that readers might not be paying attention to that.
