@0-0enyali0-0Â Oooh! That’s a good question! Others might have better answers than me, but let me try…
So it sounds to me like you’re describing every detail of what’s going on in the battle by itself. That tends to sound like a school lecture if you describe a dramatic scene from the outside without looking at how the characters are feeling…[Read more]

Some of you probably know that I am writing a Doctor Who novella. Well, I need some help. (Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a Whovian XD) There is a giant hole in my plot! So far I have this:
The Thirteenth Doctor needs to solve a riddle given to her by someo…[Read more]

@gh2468246899 , 🙂 great question
I usually write fantasy, and in my opinion that’s a genre that a writer can quite easily present truths about the world or the gospel.
Saving others and giving yourself up for someone or a greater cause is a good way to point to the truth, and there’s also other things
Writing stories about emptiness or…[Read more]

@waterlily Yes it does make sense — thanks 🙂 I get this feeling that I’ve seen that happen in a story… somewhere… but it slips my head at the moment.
@aratrea Mmm… yeah, I can see how that works. Thanks a bunch for the advice (and for the articles)!

@aratrea Thanks for this video! I love characters and positive character arcs, and I hope to show change in a realistic way for readers to relate to. Thanks so much for teaching this in such a good and understandable way! It’s worth a lot 🙂

@Emily Thanks, lol!
@shannon Thank you!!
@aratrea Nice questions, haha! Hm… Well, I first started writing because I wanted to get famous, and I liked doing it. As I grew older I realized writing is so much more then just getting famous though, it’s about spreading the…[Read more]

@aratrea It’s modern fantasy, inspired in part by Athurian Legend. The knights and their apprentices are viewed much like super heroes. (I like to call it Avengers meets the knights of the round table, haha). The novel is told through a collection of shorter stories that build of one another (they couldn’t be read out of order). Each part is told…[Read more]

Sorry I took so long to get to you guys! I’m forgetful.
@aratrea It’s supposed to be kind of like old superhero comics, with a bunch of shorter works featuring a bunch of different superheroes in a bunch of different conflicts.
@radically-surrendered I spend most of my time reading and writing, but I do enjoy playing with pets and family, doing…[Read more]

@aratrea I can’t either! The anticipation is building up the air around me like a charged storm
Wow. It was well thought-out 😀
Coming up with situations like that can be pretty hard, but its so much more satisfying than just having the hero fly in, throw some punches, and win

My dear KaPeefer friends…
This is it. One year ago today, my shaking fingers typed out a vague and slightly snarky introduction letter. I didn’t say much, but what I did say, I endeavored to make it sound smart. (I failed.) I signed it “Ethryndal”. I didn’t half know who she was, but she sounded nice, and she sounded like me.
My finger hovered…[Read more]
