@anna-brie. The marriage issue. I am sick of that. It is so big here. Did you hear about Memories Pizza in Walkerton? Some reporter came in and asked if they would cater a gay wedding. They said no, since they’re Christians. So all these people came and protested for a while. But the funny thing was, they actually got a ton of donations because of…[Read more]

Yah, I know what you mean about titles @Bluejay. Actually with the Fourth Rule, I haven’t decided if it’s The Fourth Rule, or just Fourth Rule. Because with the series I plan to go down in number either like this, The Fourth Rule, The Third Door, The Second Rebellion, and the Last Chance, or Fourth Rule, Third Door, Second Rebellion Last Chance.

@Daeus – I wonder if my little brother is the same MBTI type as yours. He calls me and my two little sisters, ‘Honey.’ And he’s TWO years old! The other day my five-year-old sister was working on her writing lesson and my little brother took the pen and said, “Honey, Honey, let me show how to do.” he has a very extensive vocabulary. And I’ve added…[Read more]

@rolena-hatfield – That sounds cool! What’s the name of your book?
@Hope – What was that @Hope? Did I just hear you got chocolate you’d be willing to share? I’m running out. Dark is my favorite. *bats eyelashes and puppy face*
@Bluejay – I love WWI Hi-Fi stories. What’s the title? (I like knowing people’s titles.) If you want to get exactly to…[Read more]

@Daeus about your logic thingy. I’d agree with you but then we’d both be wrong. *devious grin* yah that’s me. I pretty much don’t care if you disagree with me, I just don’t like you doing it.
@corissa-maiden-of-praise That was the neighbor boy Milo who I impersonated at the hockey game.

@Sarah-h The song I Thought You Were Dead is from the soundtrack to the movie. My brother owns it and it’s one of the most listened to songs on his laptop. That would be me. 🙂 It plays in the movie when Charlotte meets Will on the balcony after she thought he was dead, hence the title.

@Emma-Flournoy No George McDonald is not a modern author. He died in 1905. He’s really good though. Whoever asked me this question I’d say his is more personal fantasy, but with maybe a touch of epic.
@His-instrument I KNOW! I hated that ending! I was so happy that they ended well and got married and then seriously? They died, the new king was…[Read more]

So I know we have bits of this in Writer Corner #3 and other threads, and if you want to see if other people will write with you, do that on the Writer Corner please. This thread is for telling people your story’s name, genre, and how far you’ve got, cause some of us( or maybe just me) didn’t actually sign up on the website and therefore cannot…[Read more]

Has anyone read anything by George McDonald? People call him the father of christian fantasy. He is really good. I’ve only read two books of his At the Back of the North Wind, and The Princess and the Goblins but he’s already one of my favorites. He does fantasy, but good fantasy. No terrible romance (sofarihaven’treadany) no black magic no gory…[Read more]

@aella I accept your challenge, but there is one thing. Technically, I am not doing NaNoWriMo. I am writing a 50,000 words book from Nov 1 to Nov 30, but I am not signing up on their website or anything. I don’t have access to the internet except for Mondays, and it’s just I don’t do a whole lot of online stuff. But I will happily throw in my…[Read more]

Hey, have you ever heard of the never ending story guys? @Daeus ‘s post reminded me of that.
It was a dark and stormy night. Three men sat around a campfire. One man said, “Tell us a story” and the other man said, “It was a dark and stormy night. Three men sat around a campfire. One man said, ‘Tell us a story’ and the other man said ‘It was a…[Read more]

Okay, so I’m working on this sad short story written in first person. It’s a lady who one day watches a young boy swinging in a tree. He’s singing made up little songs about fairies and things, but when he sees her, he changes to a song about Jesus. She is not a Christian, and when she asks him about what he’s singing, he tells her in his childish…[Read more]
