I’m with Whaley. My current characters don’t tend to fight unless they have a personal reason for it (besides the fact that a real fight could put Leo out of his job and *backstory*)

Oh would you? *Raises eyebrows*
*Wondering how to get Leoron ready for this*
If a battle is to be started, I would like to ask that the bad guys not be invincible. That was the main problem with the early fights: the bad guys either always won, or left the good guys with hardly more than a moral victory (besides the…[Read more]

Beautiful. Just beautiful.
Maybe he’d never fully heal.
But how wonderful it was to finally know that God was strong enough to carry even Riker’s most broken pieces.
This is quoting material.

Not quite lost. Real life is just taking most of my time. *Sigh*
I will try to check back here and RP later today.

Wait tool? *Immediately starts thinking Fork! Factory!*
Leo
The elevator doors slid open to reveal the upstairs hallway. A long line of red and blue doors stood before them. Leo turned left towards room 204 and its dead lightbulb.
“I need to go take care-”
“Lelo!” A high pitched wail sounded behind him. He…[Read more]

Poor Rory. XD
Leo
The poor kid’s face turned red as he dragged the toe of his shoe around and around. Eddie seemed to be trying to smother more laughter.
But there was something more than just embarrassment in Rory’s eyes. Leo decided to intervene. “If I had a bonny, I would not be taking her to see the…[Read more]

Ahh! And the doggie! They look almost exactly how I imagine them. I loved those books.
Ugh. I just don’t like the fact that he killed Alice (and that he made pretty much all of his girls into the exact same fake “strong” characters, no matter how original their first introduction was. Take Cassandra for instance…)

IT’S WILL.
And Shadow! And the infamous mandola!
He actually looks a lot like I imagine him. Wow. That’s very good.
Yeah, I haven’t finished the series either. Mostly because he killed my favorite character in the end and it didn’t even make sense. He should have just let her be and maybe taken the chance to write a healthy…[Read more]

Are the twins coming?
Leo
“Later, people.” Feather boy twirled away in a swirl of rose and gold.
How did someone say goodbye here again? Leo smiled and raised his hand in a halfhearted wave.
Nobody looked horrified, so at least he didn’t do something wrong. On second thought, each of these kids looked lik…[Read more]

Glad you like it! We shall try to post the next bit next week. 🙂
If anyone has any ideas, they can post them in this thread too. I think it’s unofficially dedicated to Kingdom Pen.

I understand that. My sister and I found a folder full of old short stories from several years ago. My writing has come a long, long way, but at the same time I still have similar tendencies and character ideas.
I even illustrated the little things. XD I don’t do that now, but I intend to.

Prologue
The evening light was fading in my ‘office’. I pushed my makeshift desk (the coffee table)aside to click on a stand lamp. Its buttery yellow light softened the harsh blue of my computer. I ran my fingers over the keys again.
Where was Travenor? Ah yes. My dauntless hero had just stopped by the Emin Muil.
A slight stab of guilt dug int…[Read more]

Anyone wonder what would really happen if your characters were real and you met? Or what if tables turned and you were a character instead of the author?
Then this serial story might just be the sparkle of insanity you have been hoping for! (or if not, and if that’s the case, go invest in Narnian ice cream or something.)
Anyway, here’s the…[Read more]

@Anyone who cares XD
I would like to note that Leo’s response was a panic attack, and was not due to Marcel. He’s a uh… engineer of sorts. He’s just weird.
I actually do something similar except with imaginary sewing patterns and fabric.

“See her sword?”
Leo smiled. It did have a pointy blade thing. In fact, the crisply folded paper was looked remarkably like the strange metal figures he’s seen around the city. Statues of heros from many worlds, or so he’d been told.
The paper was obviously not some type of ink lot tes…[Read more]

There is good and bad to be said about the books. There are some stupendous characters, including a young Sherlock and his intrepid little sister. Often the plots are unique and full of twists, and the stories include tidbits of fascinating history like the Victorian Fan language knife fighting techniques.
Unfortunately, many of…[Read more]
