I’m on book eight, if my memory serves me well. I decided there was such a nagging balance of potential and problems, that I wanted to re-world-build the elf world. If you ever get any ideas for the redesign, let me know.

In the second book everyone knew rescue was coming, and it was a race against time. All hope seems lost, but in the last moment rescue comes and that’s when you find out that the villains had already lost the war and were under order to release prisoners but were trying to off the MC at the last moment.

@whalekeeper @theducktator yesss I love KOTLC’s worldbuilding (despite a few points on which I’m like “um, no, that totally breaks immersion, sorry”) but the romance is pretty much half the plot now if not most of it.

Not that I hate that, but I don’t love it either. I want them to just beat the bad guys already.

Yeah, so it’s sorta in his skill set. You know, I should really read those books again. Redwall was such a long, glorious phase.

OH, and I’m also in the process of reformatting/reediting Freedom’s Fire to fix what a scam company ruined and where things needed to be edited just a tiny bit, so y’all can also look forward to a revised edition of Freedom’s Fire hopefully before too long🤭

According to Goodreads, 50% of Unraveled consists of Keefe thought-monologuing about Sophie. It’s safe to say this is the main plot. KotLC is officially a fantasy romance.

I personally hope Sophie becomes some important Keeper, with a cool job that she actually likes and is willing to be fully independent for, so she gets past her overly invest relationships. It won’t happen. But one can dream!
