Here’s one that popped into my head whilst I was reading.
An alien race is dying, and with no way to save itself, it sends a time capsule of its history and technology to the nearest inhabited planet, which happens to be earth. What happens next?

@daughteroftheking What happens next? Chaos! That’s why Star Trek has the Prime Directive, right? 😛 But that’s an interesting concept.
It reminds me a little of TNG’s The Inner Light, though it’s actually very different. Just they both have a dying alien race that wants to be remembered. Have you seen that episode?

@rochellaine Gah, that episode is so sad! I like it though. *goes into writer mode* It’s an interesting part of Capt. Picard’s character development.
Very true, there would probably be chaos on earth. *weird little grin* It’s the kind of thing I would love to write, but just don’t have the time. Or, you know, the brainpower. 😛

@catwing What if you were extremely allergic to it? He never said it could be poisonous, just that it could kill you.

@rochellaine If you were allergic to potato-squash that would be unfortunate, because then you couldn’t eat it. 🙂 There are so many good foods made from potato-squash. Pies, cakes, breads, fruit arrangements.
