Sorry don’t feel bad. I do the same for my characters. π
Unless the story is simple or you are actively going for a minimal cast of characters, I don’t think it is possible to make them all interesting and significant.
January 10, 2019 at 7:22 pm #78609@seekjustice I see. π
@valtmy Oh, okay. πDo you all want to do that character question game again? Don’t feel bad if you don’t want to; we used to do it kind of a lot. π

www.jennaterese.comJanuary 10, 2019 at 7:25 pm #78610Sure!
Unless you for one of those epic tomes (*cough* Les Mis) which relates the entire backstories and futures of every. single. character π

January 10, 2019 at 7:28 pm #78611@seekjustice Okay. π Well then, how about you ask the first question?

www.jennaterese.comJanuary 10, 2019 at 7:32 pm #78612Oh I would love to! The character game is really fun. But I have to go. π
Haha yes. Your story may be inspired by Les Mis but you’re not going for that. π Though I’m think there may at least be some really, really minor characters (some that don’t even have names?) that even Hugo overlooked?
I’ll be going off now. Have fun you two. π
January 10, 2019 at 7:34 pm #78613If your character could change one thing about their physical appearance, what would it be?

January 10, 2019 at 7:36 pm #78614@valtmy Aw, bye. π

www.jennaterese.comJanuary 10, 2019 at 7:39 pm #78615Rin would probably make herself a wee bit taller. π
What character in a published book is most like your MC?

www.jennaterese.comJanuary 10, 2019 at 7:44 pm #78616Hmm…that’s actually quite difficult, but let me think about it…
I’m having a hard time thinking of one for Chessy, but for Yilla I’d say Katniss, even though I actually haven’t readΒ The Hunger Games.

January 10, 2019 at 7:45 pm #78617Oh, and for my question,
What real world famous person would your character admire deeply?
INFP Queen of the Kingdom commander of an army of origami cranes and a sabre from Babylon.
January 10, 2019 at 7:51 pm #78618Ah, I do that too. I say, ‘my book is kind of a cross between [this book] and [this book]…though I haven’t read either of them.’ π
Hmm, that’s a hard one. Rin would probably look up to some person who’s started a rebellion of some sort against an oppressive government, because she’d want to do the same. A specific person doesn’t come to mind though…
My question: Fight or flight; which one would your MC do in a dangerous situation?

www.jennaterese.comJanuary 10, 2019 at 7:54 pm #78619Chessy is definitely fight, I think. Yilla is more of a survivor, so she’d do whatever seemed best to survive. She wouldn’t be afraid to fight or ashamed to run away.
I need to go for now, but I’ll give you one more question:
If you had to choose an actor to portray your character, who would it be?

January 10, 2019 at 7:58 pm #78620I would’ve guessed that about Chessy. π
I don’t know her name, but maybe the actress that played Katniss in the Hunger Games movie (I haven’t seen it though π ). But with shorter and blonde hair. π
Okay, see ya later!

www.jennaterese.comJanuary 14, 2019 at 5:57 pm #78623@seekjustice I just watched the Newsies original Broadway version with Jeremy Jordan. π π (I’d seen one or two short clips before, but never the whole thing.)
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
January 14, 2019 at 6:14 pm #78624Awesome! How did you like it? I’ve watched clips from that one, but have never been able to see the whole thing.
Oh, and I’ve been meaning to tell you a funny story about my sister.
A few nights ago, we were in bed and I was just dozing off when there was a rather large crashing noise as something fell off something on my sister’s side of the room. And I heard her sleepily mutter “gracious goodness”.
