How does your character feel about romantic relationships?

My answer: Myeongwol adores romance. Obviously. She wants a romantic relationship like a fairytale (or in her case, a drama). At least, the pre-time skip Myeongwol does. Post-time skip Myeongwol is a cynical sack of bitterness and spite.

I did answer it, but the forum hasn’t been working flawlessly for me, so maybe it did disappear.
The gist was that Yilla would lie to keep her family safe. Courageous would lie to protect himself. High-Praise would lie to get what she wanted.

Okay, Valtmy’s question: Bathshua would most likely tell a lie to prevent people from finding out who her father was. Or she would tell a lie to protect her family.
SeekJustice’s question: Bathshua is interested in getting married, but doesn’t see that as a feasible option at this point. She doesn’t dwell much (right now) on the romantic aspects of betrothal and marriage.
Does that work? 😛

Yilla–various prosaic things about the sunrise and the state of the world around her. Courageous–“[insert various made up swear words] I have to talk to people”. High-Praise–various complaints about various things in various ways.

My first thought was: What other thought would a person have when they wake up in the morning apart from, “I want more sleep”?
But OK, I’ll try to take my character’s perspective and provide a more insightful response. 😛
I suppose when Myeongwol gets up, she would look out of her window and be greeted by the beautiful view of her garden and be tended to by her servants. She would tell herself that she does not feel lonely while thinking about how her life had not gone the way she had imagined it would be.
My question: Do your characters have certain habits/mannerisms? (biting their fingernails, twirling their hair as they speak, jiggling their leg when they sit, excessive blinking etc.)

@valtmy My first thought was “I don’t think she has any – I should probably give her one…” 😉
Bathshua does fix her veil quite often, though. I’m not sure if that can count, since there are very few women who are able to wear veils without fixing them repeatedly throughout the day, 😛 but it is something she does, and I’ve mentioned her doing it a few times already in the book.

Let me assure you that my book is meant to be a cute and funny story. Though @seekjustice might disagree since she’s read Part 2. But Part 3 is when the real adventure finally gets to begin so there’ll be more cute and funny moments from then on and I’m looking forward to posting it. 😛

High-Praise is into waving her hand imperiously and fiddling with her ring. Yilla is one of those sit very still and stare people into submission types of people, but she does have a habit of resting her chin on her hands and thinking in that pose. Courageous cracks his knuckles and plays with the hilt of his fancy Iranian dagger. (he has trust issue, I’ve no idea why)
