@seekjustice @catwing @jenwriter17 I got 339 words. What sentences are we supposed to share?
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
November 2, 2018 at 11:02 pm #77624@seekjustice Yeah. I think I heard we beat the last record, though I would have to double check.
@jenwriter17 What was your sentence?
@rochellaine I think we could just share one. *shrug*I got 146.
My sentence… hmmmm…Her legs felt like iron beams cemented into the ground as the moss and dirt fell off the dragon rising from its slumber.
I realize I could word that better now…
IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
November 2, 2018 at 11:04 pm #77625Guess what? I got 269. Without eating pizza.
I’m sort of stuck on the details of capturing brumbies though. Exactly how one does it with a horse and no helicopter.
By the way, Jen. Since you are an American horsie person, what does the word colt mean? You seem to use it in a different way to we do.

November 2, 2018 at 11:04 pm #77626I think I do better at 15 minutes. Also I have kitten crawling all over me…
IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
November 2, 2018 at 11:05 pm #77627@catwing @rochellaine @seekjustice
oh yeah, my sentence…
I didn’t know if we were doing our favorite sentence or the last sentence we wrote, so i’m just putting here the last sentence I wrote: Vega twisted one of her box braids around her finger.
I know, gripping isn’t it? 😛
@catwing I like your sentence 🙂I'm a Kapeefer 'TIL WE'RE OLD AND GREY!

And I’m pretty sure I have no interesting sentences, but this one…
This brumby was one of a highly sought after colouring–not quite pure white, but not cream or golden either.
…is a reference to one of my favourite childhood books, The Silver Brumby.

November 2, 2018 at 11:08 pm #77629@jenwriter17 I chose favorite. My last was…
But it was big.
Where is my Newberry Medal? IT will probably be rewritten. XPIMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
November 2, 2018 at 11:08 pm #77630We use the word colt for a male horse that hasn’t reached adult age yet.
I'm a Kapeefer 'TIL WE'RE OLD AND GREY!
www.jennaterese.comNovember 2, 2018 at 11:10 pm #77631@catwing I think I like the idea of choosing our favorite sentences better 😉

www.jennaterese.comNovember 2, 2018 at 11:11 pm #77632@seekjustice I’m an American horse person… And an American cat person… 🙁 ( 😛 )
Foal – Baby horse under one year (I think it’s one year)
Filly – Female foal
Colt – Male foal
But some people are named Colt. 🙂IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
November 2, 2018 at 11:12 pm #77633@catwing Okay, my sentences were all pretty short in the last section I wrote, so I’m going to give two that go together:
“We have not killed your brother, girl. We speak the truth.”
@jenwriter17 @seekjustice Shall we have another word war?
@valtmy Are you home yet?"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
November 2, 2018 at 11:14 pm #77634Righto. The things I was reading seemed to indicate it meant more generally a horse that hadn’t reached mature age. Here it very specifically means a horse between 1-4. Younger than 1 is a foal, and a female is a filly. I’ve never really seen any Americans use those terms though, which was why I was a little confused.

November 2, 2018 at 11:15 pm #77635But some people are named Colt.
😛 And my first thought was “Some guns are called Colt”
If we’re doing last sentences, then mine was pretty boring too. It was
And then Yishay had been there to meet her.
😀
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
November 2, 2018 at 11:15 pm #77636@seekjustice Okay. I double checked and…
They are called a filly or Colt until over three years of age. But at one year they are yearlings, instead of foals apparently.IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
November 2, 2018 at 11:18 pm #77637@seekjustice I think all those terms are a little confusing for some people (including me, tbh 😛 ), and I don’t think all horse books get it right anyway, so maybe that’s why Americans don’t use the terms that often. 🙂
