March 13, 2018 at 8:54 pm #66565You’re probably the only person/dragon I have ever heard refer to Charlie/gamma readers. Will we next have Echo readers? Will we ever get all the way through to Yankee/Zulu readers?

March 13, 2018 at 8:55 pm #66566@seekjustice After Charlie readers are the delta readers, then the echo readers, then the foxtrot readers, and so forth. π Although, I hope I don’t have to do that many edits.

March 13, 2018 at 9:03 pm #66570@seekjustice Definitely.Β When I tried to explain to my mom what Writers’ Corner was for she looked at me strangely and said something like “And you actually get work done like that?” π π
Okay, you asked for it… West Side Story is an updated take on Romeo and Juliet.Β It was a pioneer in musical style and some of the songs are quite amazing.Β If you are bored by the older style songs, these might be modern enough for you. πΒ Brigadoon is a fantasy musical that was a huge hit on Broadway and a flop when they made it into a movie.Β The story is a fanciful little thing, and I like the music.Β It’s about a little Scottish village that was cursed/blessed into disappearing only to appear for one day once every two hundred years.Β If any of the villagers are caught outside the village at the sunset of the day when it appears, it will disappear forever.
Aaand I have a lot more that I love, but I’ll have to sort through them to find ones with non-boring songs.Β I like sweet and simple, cliche, old-fashioned, and stereotyped, (Snow White songs and Sleeping Beauty songs are amazing!) so we’ve got quite different tastes. π
@dragon-snapper Thanks!Β After hearing so many raves about it I’m sure it’s interesting.Β I also heard it was very long, though, so I’ll have to see if I have time once you have it ready.Β I’d love it if you’d tag me when you do want more readers so I can see if I get the chance to read it!"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
March 13, 2018 at 9:04 pm #66571@seekjustice Yankee/Zulu readers? Who came up with those names?!
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
March 13, 2018 at 9:05 pm #66572@rochellaine Long??? XD I’m glad. It’s 86,000 currently. Although… the third book in the trilogy will likely exceed 120,000… O.O
Help. π

I am writing the next part of CC!IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
March 13, 2018 at 9:20 pm #66580@rochellaine Well, whoever came up with the phonetic alphabet, that’s who.
I’ve been meaning to listen to West Side Story for ages becauseΒ everyoneΒ listens to that one, but I just added it to my list.
Ooh, Brigadoon sounds interesting. I’m super interested in anything Scottish because I’m part Scottish and a highland dancer and Scotland is just awesome. I listened to the Prologue and I quite like it. I could only find a 1988 version on YouTube though.
Unfortunately, ever since I was a small child I have been an avowed enemy of Disney. With the exception of Mulan and Tangled only.
