@seekjustice @jenwriter17 I’m back now!
@dekreel @kaya-young are you here this time?"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
March 13, 2018 at 8:08 pm #66543No, I haven’t unfortunately! I am super lazy and haven’t read the screenplay yet, but I haven’t had time enough at the library (I try to only listen to musicals on YouTube at the library, because we have only a limited internet download) to listen to Carousel yet.
Oh there’s so many musicals…I listen mostly to newer ones, though newer probably means in twenty years old. Have you listened to Les Miserables? Because hands down it is the absolute best musical ever created. Anastasia is good too, I really like the Lord of the Rings musical (but if you haven’t read the books you might not enjoy that one as much), A Tale of Two Cities has an awesome musical, Dear Evan Hansen isn’t my favourite, but I really like the style of music, I also enjoy the French version of Les Mis.

March 13, 2018 at 8:25 pm #66547@dragon-snapper Yes, I feel like I haven’t written anything in FOREVER!
what time zone are you in? (if you don’t mind me asking)

www.jennaterese.comMarch 13, 2018 at 8:31 pm #66551@seekjustice That’s okay…I’m still halfway through chapter five ofย A Little Bush Maid which you recommended to me a really long time ago. ๐ย I’ve had the Gutenberg tag open on my computer since then, and ever once in a while I’ll switch to it and read a paragraph.ย It’s not that I don’t like it, because I do, it’s just that I haven’t been reading much of anything at all lately. ๐
Well, I guess I’ll find out what you thought of Carousel once you post about it on your blog, right?ย You said you would do a post on it. *cheers*ย But I understand that might not be for a while.
I’ve listened to a couple of songs from Anastasia, because you mentioned it.ย I liked the songs fine, but I have a hard time listening to anything recorded after about 1970 because I am really picky in my likes and dislikes of female voices, and especially prefer the older style of singing.ย I’ve found only one modern female Broadway singer that I like that I can remember! ๐ย My dad wants to show meย Les Miserables but hasn’t gotten around to it yet.ย I didn’t knowย A Tale of Two Cities was a musical!ย I actually haven’t read the book, though.ย My grandmother had it, but back then I wasn’t allowed to read it, and a couple of years ago she moved in with us, so now since I’ve grown up and would be allowed to read it the book is in storage, so I can’t! ๐ย I know a little of the story, though.
I listen mostly to older musicals, and I can’t wait to recommend some of them to you!
@jenwriter17 Hi!ย Congratulations.ย I abhor the process of writing beginnings, though."Sylvester - Sylvester!"
March 13, 2018 at 8:31 pm #66552@jenwriter17 XD I know the feeling.
I’m Eastern Standard. (That’s what it’s called, right? ๐ ) You?

@rochellaine aw, you hate beginnings? Once I figure out what the opening scene is, I enjoy it ๐well, sorry y’all, unexpected interruptions, gotta go for now. i’m not sure if i’ll be on writing more later or not, but I will tomorrow. bye! <3 <3

March 13, 2018 at 8:42 pm #66558After @clairec and I had that discussion I got a paperback of A Little Bush Maid out of the library and am planning to read it again (but I’m super busy at the moment with other things, so I still haven’t started it).
I will do a post one day…One day…
And I’m the other way around! As a general rule, I don’t like older musicals, but that’s more because of the music than the singing, I just find the music annoying (I especially feel it in old Disney movies, I don’t know why).
You definitely need to readย A Tale of Two Citiesย one day, it’s an awesome book. In fact, I’m of the opinion that Dickens is just awesome in general. Definitely recommend some, I literally have a list on my computer that I write suggestions down on, so I don’t forget, and I’m slowly making my way through them.

March 13, 2018 at 8:45 pm #66562@dragon-snapper Or are we just throwing musicals at each other? ๐
Well, sort of.ย I’m in the process of creating a website, but since the website is for my books, I count that I can be on Writers’ Corner with it. ๐
Are you editing your famous book that it seems everyone is beta-reading but me?
@jenwriter17 Okay, bye!ย See you later!"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
March 13, 2018 at 8:47 pm #66563Yeah, we’re just throwing musicals at each other.
This is why the Writer’s Corner is bad for productivity.
