Okay guys, I know I am still working on my WIP (which I have shared little info about, but if you are interested, I already have a lot of the lore… Β (I just need to write the story ππ )
Anyway! Here is my idea:Credits to this random animation for inspiring me!
Okay, so there is this young girl who runs a museum, and she is very kind and such. But she is hiding a secret that none of her friends and frequent visitors (or any visitors for that matter) know! She is immortal!
And the people she is basing this museum (and the events) around are people she has actually met (and out lived) And events that she has actually lived through!
My idea is either people begin to grow suspicious of her, or that a younger person discovers that she is immortal and she tells talks to him, reliving these stories in a way! (Actually I think I will do a mix of that)
And basically she would tell about all the languages she has learned, and all the amazing people she met! And yeah! (And I could do things with the Bible too!!!!!!!)
I think it seems like a fun idea, and it could have some history in it! What do you guys think (I would love to hear your honest opinions on it!)

January 31, 2025 at 5:55 pm #196598That does sound like a really fun idea!
So, are you thinking of this being like a framing device for a collection of other stories or something?

January 31, 2025 at 6:17 pm #196606Sounds like it could be really cool! You should give it a whirl!

January 31, 2025 at 6:37 pm #196608Yeah, thanks! I think I should try it and see how it goes!
Lol, that is funny! It was really well made, it is a little disappointing when someone makes something really cool and short, but then they never expand on it. :I

January 31, 2025 at 7:14 pm #196610A framing device is basically a story outside of the main story. Itβs not necessarily a βstoryβ as far as having much of a plot, but it acts as context in which the main story is told.
The only example I can think of that you might have seen isΒ the Princess BrideΒ movie. In that movie, the grandfather reading the story to the kid is a framing device.

π Appreciator of BooksJanuary 31, 2025 at 7:52 pm #196615Sounds interesting! You could definitely develop this. Like you said, it would be a great way to teach history…or the Bible! Were there any specific historical/biblical stories you were thinking of including to get your theme across? There are so many options for themes you could have since all history is available to you…
Oh, one question, which I think is very important. How is the lady immortal?

February 1, 2025 at 11:32 am #196683Sounds fun. I would be curious to know how she acquired immorality.

February 1, 2025 at 2:30 pm #196720Oh, then yes, and no.
Yeah, I am still considering which time periods I should choose from! And fort the very important question, I have already started working on her origin! I was thinking maybe that she had a test or a choice that was like a choice from God, and she was given the curse of immortality or something like that! An example was she was given the three choices between riches, wisdom, and immortality (Because those are the three things almost every human wants.) and the only correct option would be wisdom, but she foolishly chose immortality.
Thank!
Thank you, I think I am going to share scenes on here!
Okay! ty!
Yeah! Thanks! Here is what I am thinking: (this is just a repeat of what I said to liberty)
