Okay, I’m back, but as Power this time. (I need to keep better locks on the BM’s cage 🙄.)
What did you get your AA in, if you don’t mind my asking? (You may have already answered this, but I didn’t see it. 😏)
You will love what you spend time with.
October 28, 2024 at 11:23 am #188470Also, have you heard of Kara Swanson? Random, but she’s a great fantasy author who also happens to have Lyme disease. She wrote Dust and Shadow and her new book that just came out was Ignite.

Devote reddamus!October 28, 2024 at 7:58 pm #188490Thanks!! I almost have to change it now, haha. Same!! They are SO good. I just reread the whole series and started the Chronicles of Avonlea, which I’ve never read before. Which ones have you read?
(Rilla of Ingleside is so sad!! 😭)

Hi Liberty! Great to meet you!
I’m a young home-educated follower of Jesus Christ. I’m filled with the passion to write God glorifying stories. I also have a huge passion for horses, and dogs. ( I mean, just read this quote: “I am still under the impression that there is nothing alive quote so beautiful as a horse” John Galsworthy)
Cool! I was homeschooled a few years. Horses are so pretty! I haven’t interacted with them close to enough.
Anyway, I have a brindle mix dog named Buddy, and I love training him. I’m a student of Homeschool the Dog, and am learning as a junior dog trainer. I also love spending time with my family, and growing together with them. I love the country far more than the city.
Sounds like fun! I’m a city girl through and through but I love birdwatching. There is something so special about the country though, especially the night stars.
As for shows, I absolutely love the Hornblower series. I watched that series, and fell in love with the 1700’s/1800’s navy.
I’ve never heard of it before!
I was just curious, what is your illness?
Well, it’s hard to explain. Basically, I have what people would refer to as toxicity. It’s the inability to eliminate toxins from the body. Everything bad in your body has toxins that need to be eliminated, from germs to chemicals you breath in while in a department store. These toxins build up and cause you to be more susceptible to other diseases, which are then hard to get rid of because of the root issue. So my diagnosis looks like Lyme, pots, autonomic nervous system dysfunction, and others that haven’t been diagnosed yet, but it’s not the root issue.
Thanks for the encouraging verses : )
I’ll give you the same story blurb I gave rae:
Tauren and Lesli have always lived in the West Hills Bunker. Tucked away safely underground, the west hills bunker remains untouched by the wreckage and destruction of the last world war, 200 years prior. The outside world has changed, and it’s no longer known as the safe planet God created for humans. Life in the bunker is consistent, but Lesli is growing tired of her simple life as a miner. Tauren is happy in the bunker, and is frustrated that part of his new routine involves convincing Lesli to stay out of trouble. However, happenings in other parts of the bunker change the economy, and materials become scarce. Tauren’s world is rocked as the illusion of safety starts to unveil. Convinced they are the only two who can see clearly, they start making plans.
I have a fantasy wip, but it’s really special to me and I don’t talk about it much online, just to keep the idea original.
What do you write about?
"And so I left this world just as I had entered it. Confused."

Oh wow, that is such a good idea. O.O I’m going as the princess Hornet from Hollow Knight.

October 29, 2024 at 4:11 pm #188538Hello Min!
Sorry, I’m late to this. I’ve been sick/busy recently, but I have time today.
I’ve seen you around here on the art channels on here, but I don’t think we’ve been properly introduced. Well, you can call me Linus. I’m a tech school student in software development, a Sunday School teacher, and am working a part-time job at a bulk food store. I’m also, as far as I know, the only user on here who is not American. (I’m Canadian)
I can’t tell you anything about RPs because I have not been going on them, but looks like you have lots of others to inform you of those.
I like writing and drawing fantasy. My current project is The Narrow Path Trilogy. In the world, there is a dark magic which turned its users into crow-like monsters. Alan, the protagonist, has used some of this and is seeking redemption by becoming a hero. These books will also cover things such as the cost of faith and overcoming sin. The series may or may not have some elements in it heavily inspired by The Wingfeather Saga (Honestly, It’s hard to tell at times). I am currently working on my second draft of book one The Cost and posting the chapters here.
What is ATOH? You say you are not sharing it now, but what is the premise and full name of the project?
I hope you are able to recover from your illness and will be praying.
October 30, 2024 at 9:28 am #188562Yes! I love looking up at the stars when I exercise Buddy in the evening. There’s something so awe-striking and majestically mysterious feeling with the stars. Have you ever seen the Sight&Sound production of DAVID? Well, there’s one song in the show where David sings about the stars—“Creation Sings”. Whenever I see the stars, I almost always think of that song. I usually end up singing it as well.
Hmm…from what you told me about your illness, it seems to match the problems of other people I know. Would another way to describe your illness be your body is attacking itself because it’s not eliminating toxins? Kind of autoimmune?
Your story sounds very interesting! I once had a friend who told me about a book that sounded kind of like yours. I don’t remember the title, but maybe you’ve read it. It was about a boy and a girl who lived their whole life underground in the world but discovered a way to escape outside. Something like that.
As for myself, I dabble in all sorts of genres: fantasy, historical fiction, modern fiction, non-fiction, oh, but I don’t write romance, at least books totally dedicated to that. *personally, I think there’s plenty of that already, and a lot of it isn’t realistic*
However, the WIP I’m working on right now is called “Buddy Brindle”. It’s placed in a world I created where the people are dogs. The story is about two young dogs who grew up as brothers and how they each take a different road in life. The story’s point is to show the two routes everyone takes in life. There are only two roads on which to live. The main character is Buddy, who’s actually based on my real dog. The entire story spreads through four books, so I’m currently working on Book 1.
It’s a big mix of things: navy ships, pirates, sea wolves, cowboys- or should I say cow dogs, ponies… I’m super excited about this series!

October 30, 2024 at 9:30 am #188564By the way, I have a question that anyone can answer:
How can I access the place underneath what I write? The place where you put all your little sayings?

October 30, 2024 at 11:29 am #188591Wow! I love your quote as well! It gives the sense that we’re God’s weapons: getting sharpened like a sword.
