Paxton shifted at hearing his name, eyes widening and head jerking to meet Layson’s gaze. The boy flushed slightly, scooting closer to Ara and squeezing his bear a bit.
He glances up at Ara who nods slowly, a small smile on her face. Paxton returns his gaze to Layson.
“I…I s-suppose t-t-truth…?” he asked, hoping he’d said the right thing.
Would he get in trouble if he didn’t?
He…still wasn’t used to playing games, at least not games that most would play.

Layson hesitates.
I’ve been embarrassed enough here, perhaps it’s somebody else’s turn.
“You have to talk about your crush for 5 minutes straight.”
“I mean if you have one.” He adds.
Layson glances up at Lyn, already leaned forwards in anticipation.

@mineralizedwritings hm I don’t think Paxton has a crush at this point just yet. He and Luna do develop feelings for each other but at this moment not just yet.
Also I think that falls more under dare 😅 BUT THAT WOULD BE AN AWESOME DARE FOR NOVEMBER XD XD MY POOR BOI WOULD GET SOOOO FLUSTERED

Paxton stared for a moment, the question ringing in his mind. He didn’t even have to think about it for very long.
He already knew the answer.
He’d thought about it many times before…
Thought about…all the things that would change if he just…
Hadn’t been born a cripple…
A flit.
A mistake.
His shoulders lowered as he relinquished a bit of his type grip on his bear, keeping his gaze with Layson as he answered the young man’s question.
“I-I…I’d h-have…wings.”
He saw Jocelyn’s face flush across from him, her brows go wide and eyes glassy. She pulled her lips tight as Grimm clenched his fists beside her, turning his head.
Luna’s head was bowed, but she caught his eye, giving a small but sad smile.
Paxton looked over at November and Ara, whose faces were also a bit flushed. Ara gently wrapped an arm around him.
His stomach twisted. Oh…
H-He’d done something wrong…
Had he said the wrong thing?
“I-I’m sorry…d-did…did I p-play wr-wrong?” he whispered to Ara, wondering what it was he’d been supposed to say.
Ara blinked, then shook her head, gently embracing him.
“No, no. You’re fine, Paxton…” She gently kissed his hair. “You played it right.”
Luna nodded beside him, smiling. “Yea! Ah, why don’t you pick someone to go next?”
Paxton blinked. “B-But I don’t know…know wh-who.”
“Ahh…alright…how about I pick, hm?” Ara asked. Paxton nodded. “Alright, um…Lesli! Truth or dare?”

I like how Ara’s really sweet with him though.
Lesli looks back. “Oh!” She pauses. “It’s my turn?”
“Hmm… dare?” Lesli says in an excited tone, not one bit phased by the chaos. She liked it in fact.

Ara laughed slightly, “Oh! Alright. This is actually rather fun…I haven’t gotten to do this yet…” She looked at Paxton, giving him another light squeeze, hoping he didn’t feel self conscious.
“Ah…hm…oh, this is difficult!”
“Not for me!” Lyn laughed.
“We know,” Someone said. Lyn laughed harder.
Ara thought longer. “Well…I think I have one…but I don’t want it to be too mean…”
“Just do it already,” Corvina sighed, rolling her eyes to the ceiling. Ara grimaced.
“Well…I dare you…to eat an entire clove of garlic.” Ara placed a hand over her mouth to hide her smile. “Ah..now I feel bad.”
Though, most everyone around her was laughing.

#ProtectSeb“Eww!” Lesli laughs as a clove of garlic appeared on the floor in front of her.
She glances over at Tauren, laughing mockingly along with the crowd.
“Hey!”
“What?!”
“Your supposed to be on my side!”
Tauren shrugs, his smirk turning to a wide smile.
“Well fine then.” lesli shoves the entire clove into her mouth.
She shrugs as if to say it isn’t too bad. Biting down on it, spice bursts into her mouth, and she nearly gags.
“Ahh–hot–” She breaths out, as if to expel the heat in her mouth.
She closes her eyes, pushing through the last of the chewing.
“Gahrghh- ahh–” Lesli swallows the last of it, nearly panting to dissipate the heat.
“Well, that was–” Lesli swallows hard, grimacing as she experiences the spice all over again. “–interesting.”
Lesli turns towards Tauren, his smile of delight turned to concern.
“What?” Lesli whispers.
“I thought you might throw up.”
“Oh no, I’m alright.”
“Oh. I feel kinda bad for laughing now, I didn’t know it was going to be that bad.”
“Oh your good.” Lesli says, patting his back with her hand.
“Well, I suppose I can pick somebody next– November?”
“Truth or dare?”
Oops, the poor kids already been picked like a million times. I suppose it’s too late now though…

Surely he heard wrong right. He couldn’t have been called AGAIN!
Slowly, he turned to face Lesli, pointing at himself. She nodded. He swallowed, grimacing.
Why? This was the third time…the. Third. Time!
Man…he really wished he could opt out of playing like Nyx had…
He let his shoulders fall with a sigh. “Ahh…I..I don’t know…” He scratched the back of his neck.
“Bah don’t be a wimp. Choose dare.” Nyx called from behind. November winced.
Grimm glared at the kit. “I don’t see you over here volunteering for any dares.” Nyx scowled at him.
November frowned. “Um. Dare, I guess.”

BUT I also really want to see how others react to November doing the dare tomorrow so would u mind if he does the dare but we go ahead and pause the game afterwards until tomorrow so others can see and react?
