@michelle Yeah! Like in The Lord of the Rings when King Théoden leads the ranks of Rohan into battle in (I think) the battle of the Pelennor fields. And there are some pretty awesome scenes in The Silmarillion, too. Great stuff! I love writing those types of scenes.

Ah yes! I love that trope as well! If the relationship doesn’t progress to the lover stage too quickly, it makes for a really interesting romance. 🙂

I know people who love that trope as well as people who hate it! Haha.

But it can be really good if it’s written well.

Is there a book or movie that you read/watched that pulled this trope off particularly well?
