Oh and @Anne-of-Lothlorien, @Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise, I think @SleepwalkingMK is right—is it Morgan? That’s my four year old brother’s name. π
November 7, 2016 at 7:46 pm #20614@emma-flournoy I’m a little that way, but not to such a degree. I guess just remember (with writing) it will probably be at least a month before they figure out you didn’t take their advice, and then you probably will have forgotten about the whole thing by then and they may have too.
And then too, just… just… you gotta do that stuff. Put on a devil-may-care face and assume an evil cackle, take out a machete, and start hacking.

November 7, 2016 at 7:47 pm #20615@Kate-Flournoy Meh, I know. Not complicated. You’re probably right, as usual. (Just kidding, I know you’re right. You always have to do what you know is best, even if you can’t have everyone agree. Now. I will stop distracting you. I am terribly sorry for my inconsideration. Please, write.)

@Daeus Ha! That’s da spirit. πAnd then too, justβ¦ justβ¦ you gotta do that stuff. Put on a devil-may-care face and assume an evil cackle, take out a machete, and start hacking.
Well, *mournful sigh* I guess you’re right. What must be done must be done. *evil cackle*
November 7, 2016 at 8:03 pm #20617@emma-flournoy Basically what @kate-flournoy and @daeus said is how I feel. I’m constantly thinking about who’s going to approve of what, and I know as I write certain things that some people simply aren’t going to like it. I have so many friends with so many diverse opinions that I really think it would be impossible to please everyone, so I guess it was easier for me since I kind of had to get used to it if I didn’t want to go crazy. π π
And yes, @sleepwalkingmk @emma-flournoy; her real name is Morgan. π

November 7, 2016 at 8:08 pm #20619One more thing @emma-flournoy: how does swimming hurt? Is it the actual swimming, or the life-jacket? (sorry, but swimming is one of my favorite things, so I like to try and help other people enjoy it too… π )

November 7, 2016 at 8:27 pm #20623@Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise Nah, not the life jacket. I don’t use one of those any more. I can swim well enough to not drown, but it’s more floundering. π It hurts my chest most, and my stomach and my head, and makes me feel too out of breath.
Don’t be sorry, I’m all for suggestions on how to enjoy it more. I want so much to do it better. π I don’t exactly get much practice, either (i.e. once a year or less), which I’m sure helps not. How long have you been swimming?November 7, 2016 at 8:33 pm #20624@Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise @Emma-Flournoy also has spinal problems, so I’m sure that doesn’t help either.
November 7, 2016 at 9:06 pm #20626Well, had spinal problems. Theoretically those have been fixed. *shrug* I’ve got unfigurable head problems still in the figuring process though, so that could be a factor. *’nother shrug*
November 7, 2016 at 9:17 pm #20627@kate-flournoy @emma-flournoy Ah, I see. Well… maybe someday you’ll have the opportunity to fix that. Really, once you get used to it it’s quite fun. π
And I’ve been swimming for as long as I can remember. I think my earliest swimming memory was when I was… I don’t know, 4? Something like that. π π

November 7, 2016 at 9:47 pm #20629@Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise Yah…it’s a work in progress. π
What, you weren’t one of those whose parents just threw you in the pool as a baby and there you learned? π Heh. I’ve never actually known any of those, but I’ve heard it. I’m not sure it’s true. π- This reply was modified 8 years ago by Emma Flournoy.
November 8, 2016 at 6:38 am #20641@Emma-Flournoy Not quite… π We have access to a decent indoor pool at a nearby hotel, and when I was younger we went over there quite often. Now, life prevents us from going very much, but we still go every once in a while. π

November 8, 2016 at 11:57 am #20648@Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise Well, practice makes perfect. π
‘preciate the concern, by the way. π
November 8, 2016 at 1:53 pm #20657@emma-flournoy, I guess I was one of those babies. We used to have a pool in our backyard, and I’ve been swimming since forever. I still do summer swim team every year. π
November 8, 2016 at 1:59 pm #20658@Emma-Flournoy Indeed. π I still won’t swim in the ocean though; I’m a bit paranoid about sharks. Not really technically afraid of them, I think I’d be willing to swim with them in an aquarium, but I’d much rather stay out of the ocean where I might be accidentally mistaken for a meal. π
