Heres a cute idea, inspired by @whalekeeper ! Your characters can write letters to your other characters, or other peoples characters! You can write about their day, plans they plan to do, upcoming events, life, school and basically everything! This might make your characters seem more real. If you dont want them to write letters they can also text. Just though it would be fun to do! 🙂

Hi, I’m Cal.
I don’t usually write letters to complete strangers, but my friend told me to find a pen pal other than her, so here I am.
My life has been alright so far. I live in the Baztet capital, with my parents and three little brothers. My father (his name’s Noc) works at the college and sometimes lets me help. I like to read, research, and sit by the fire a lot. Makes me look old and wise.
I also like snow. You might not believe it, but the window pane next to me is covered in frost right now. It’s the beginning of the holidays. We’ll go out in the streets, and bits of snowflakes will come down shaped like lilies and roses – it’s wondrous. Do you have anything wondrous near you?
Maybe I’m a little sheltered down here, but I think Noc’s right to worry. A lot of the aristocrats here are leaning towards barbarian inspirations. …But that’s Baztet politics for you, and I’m not going to talk about them any longer, either here, or in my letters.
So that’s me. …Tell me about your life, maybe? You’re sure to live in a different world, and I do love hearing about worlds unknown. My cat does, too.

because throughout my series my charries travel, so if they ever wrote letters it would probably be to just vent or help them feel like their feelings are being known, but they wouldn’t be writing to anyone in particular.
It would just be dumped into the sea, or float away on the wind, or something.
Or perhaps they wrote it before they left their lands.
