Ok here is my character… 🙂🙂

Jayden Crawford, 16. Observant, talkative, friendly,  respectful, hardworking, honest, playful, talkative, generally kind… have I mentioned talkative?
He’s also something of a teaser, sometimes uncreative, an over-the-top critic, picky, not the most humble… doesn’t always think before doing things…
He has medium-long dark blonde hair (that looks surfer boyish). Very lightly tanned skin. Very sparkly grey or green eyes, I haven’t decided yet. Very slight aquiline nose. Braces. Rectangular body, stand five foot seven. Wears a slightly oversized, dark green hoodie, tight/skinny black pants, and white and green shoes that look like New Balance’s 574…
Is good at journaling, video games, biking, playing his ocarina… loves superheroes, boats and sailors, attention, the idea of being productive and healthy, and talking and entertaining. Is bad at running, swimming, baking… hates toothpicks and needles, lace, and being alone…

A general definition of the character

        …

What does this mean? Like a general overview?

Well, liberty I have a good idea! If you want your charries to stay special here’s what I can do! Your human characters could still have the advantages and disadvantages of a dog! Like they could be super athletic and have great hearing and have a good sense of smell! But they would also be colorblind and easily distracted and also have a hard time being alone!

Sure thing! That sounds like a great idea.

Another thing liberty, what is buddy’s negative character traits? I get to hear his good ones, but what is he bad at? What skills shape his character for the worse? What makes him frustrated and causes him anger?  Thank you so much for participating though! 🙂

Yes. So, Buddy is easily sucked into his thoughts. (He’s got melancholic traits in him…) He sometimes doubts his capabilities, even if outwardly he seems confident. He gets frustrated when he can’t meet what’s expected of him. Frustrated and also a bit disheartened. Deep down, he’s sometimes afraid he will be a failure. It’s not all the time, since he has many moments when he’s totally confident in what he’s doing.

            Is that good?

              That was perfect!

Uhhh, heh! He might have a hard time! 😅

Is this a good way to portray your charrie? VERY talkative.

“Weird, why did that car leave early?” A boy with longer blond hair came up to the van. “Oh well.” He shrugged. “Guess it was in a hurry.” Edgar stared at the boy standing there. “What is with your… appearance?” He asked. “Are you going surfing?”
“Um, no? I kinda just like this look, ya know? I mean I hope it doesn’t make me look like I enjoy surfing? I didn’t really think wearing this hoodie made me look like a surfer. But maybe it’s my hair that you’re talking about? My names Jaydan by the way what’s yours?”
“Edgar, pleasant to meet you.” Edgar said flatly. He then turned around and sat back in his seat to read.

                  Yes, that totally works!

Don’t worry too much about writing him wrong. He’s a fairly newish character of mine, so I’m still working out personality and all. And basically anything you do with him might be inspirational as I develop him further! 😜

Ok, introducing Rachel Henson. She’s a 19 year old girl with reddish brown hair, green eyes, and is average height for her age. She’s responsible, sensible, leader like, and usually takes control of situations. She’s empathetic and very athletic as well. Her downside is that she can be impatient, sometimes stubborn, and get easily annoyed by people losing sight of the goal. She’s great at anything athletic, sailing, or piloting related, and not so much at artistic or creative things.

Sorry, I have been reading your first posts, but I have had a lot on my mind, and I kinda wanted to enter a charrie. Most of my charries ate fantasy or sci-fi so…kinda hard to find one with no inhuman or supernatural abilities that I was willing to send forth. So I dug back to the days that I wrote historical fic

                        Here you go! Have fun!

                        The characters name and age

                        Robert Robinson age 32

A general definition of the character

He’s the hardworking type, the one who will balance two high labor jobs. He’s also very protective. Medically discharged from the Army.

3 to 5 positive character traits

                        • Hardworking
                        • Protective
                        • Logical (most the time)
                        • Kind in his own odd way. The he’s the type of person who will still punch you, but is kind enough to help you back up and get you ice afterwards

3 to 5 negative character traits

                        • Secretive almost to a fault about his family/friends/himself. Not sure if you want to call it negative but it has had a negative effect in his story before
                        • Can sometimes be overprotective
                        • Can over-react to things
                        • He’s not swift to anger, but once he’s angered…someone’s going home with teeth missing and a black eye.

Briefly what the character looks like

Blue eyes, dirty blond hair, short, and combed to the side. Around six foot. Stronger than the average guy which lean muscling. He was discharged on account of an accident that damaged his right knee. He has to wear a brace on his leg, and he walks with a limp. Running is hard and painful, but he will still do it.

3 to 5 things the character loves/is good at

                        • He loves roses
                        • Very aware of his surroundings
                        • Good shot
                        • Likes black coffee
                        • He likes fountain pens
                        • Likes canned food
                        • Can hand sew a little

3 to 5 things the character hates/is bad at

                        • Coffee with cream in it. He will not drink coffee with cream.
                        • Allergic to cashews and only cashews
                        • Alarm clocks freak him out. Alarms in general, actually.
                        • He has no fear of spiders on their own, and he has no fear of tiny dark spaces, but put them together…he hates that.
                        • Hates when someone’s late
                        • Can’t stand garbage that does not move in the wind

Note: he always uses Military time, gets up at the strangest hours, and will not talk anything war, army, or guns unless it’s a random fact or need-to-know.

If you need anymore info, just let me know!

IT IS HERE! Welcome are contestants! (Don’t worry there are no main characters. We just start with the sisters.) (Also sorry if this is a little messy, we promise that the actual chapters will be shorter and less messy. We just had to introduce the characters!)

“Rosamund, Rosamund, guess what?!” Beatrice ran into her sister’s room, waving a letter in her hand.
“What? Is it important?” Rosamund responded carelessly
“Of course! You and me just got invited to the Diamond Games!!” Beatrice cried. A wide grin was on her face as she practically danced in her sister’s room.
“Hm, interesting.” Rosamund returned and then went back to her book.
“That’s it?! do you understand what this means?!”
“Not really.” She said, still looking down.
“We’re going to be in the biggest tournament on the face of the earth!” Be \and stopped for a moment to read the letter. “Here, listen to the letter.” She cleared her throat, and read,
“Congratulations Beatrice and Rosamund Miller! You two have been invited to participate in the biggest tournament in the whole country!
Pot You will be given the chance to win a jackpot of money in the Diamon Games in the next season, premiering live this month!  Below is attached the rules, regulations, blah blah blah.”
Beatrice looked back at Rosamund, “Isn’t that great?! We could have the chance to win a ton of cash!”
“Wow, that’s cool.” Rosamund seemed to be slightly interested now. “What do we have to do for the show?”
“You mean you’ve never seen the Diamond Games?” Beatrice crossed her arms, rolling her eyes. “Sheesh, I thought you want to at least be up to date with what’s popular. Maybe I shouldn’t have submitted your name to the competition with mine…” Beatrice shook her head, scanning the paper for their instructions, “Anyway, we, along with 33 other contestants, will go to Jade Island in two weeks, all-expenses paid for. We’ll be put into five teams of seven. Then, over the course of roughly a month and a half, we’ll compete in different challenges. Whichever team wins is safe from elimination and get money added to their pot. Teams want to win to earn the most money by the end. The two teams that lost will be voted on by viewers to eliminate one of their teammates. There’s some other stuff about the games, but that’s basically the gist.”
“Hmm. When do we have to reply by?”
“This Saturday. Are you up for it?”
Rosamund shrugged, picking up her book again. “Sure, sounds kind of fun. We have to ask mom and dad first.”
“Great! Then we’re going to the Diamond Games!!” Beatrice squealed, rushing out of the room.
                                2 weeks late:
Soon the 35 contestants were entering the boat, all equally prepared for their future endeavors.
                                The characters:

“Finally, we’re here!” Beatrice exclaimed, stepping off the boat and gazing all around her. The sun nearly blinded her as she shaded her eyes with her hand and wished she had worn something for cooler weather.
“Watch where you step, honey.” Beatrice’s mom said, pointing down. Beatrice looked, and only about a foot between her was the end of the dock.
“Whoops. You should’ve told me that I was so close.” Beatrice replied. Behind her, Rosamund was just about to get off the boat when someone shoved past her.
“Move out of the way, slowpoke!” A teen boy shouted behind her.
“Can’t you move any faster?” Another one pushed her, and she slammed into the bar.
“Hope she’s not on our team, Eric.” One of the boys, the taller one, told his friend.
“Yeah, me too. Then again, everyone seems annoying on here, Quinn.” Eric replied, their voices drifting away as they walked towards the bus waiting for the contestants.
Rosamund straightened herself, glaring at them. “Don’t mind them, they’re just a couple of jerks.” She turned, and next to her was another boy, with strikingly dark hair, and wearing a friendly smile.
“Hi, my name’s Blaze.” He stuck out his hand. Rosamund smiled back, shaking his hand.
                                “Rosamund.”
                                “That’s a pretty name.”
                                Rosamund smile widened, “Thanks.”
“Sorry to interrupt you love birds, but there’s people waiting to get off the boat!” A blond-haired girl was standing on the boat looking impatiently at Blaze and Rosamund. “You know, I am going to win this, since I am perfect, and you losers wasting my time won’t help my cause! Now shoo!” she demanded.
Beatrice stepped fully in her way, “And who are you?” she asked, hands on her hips and staring the girl down.
“You don’t know who I am” The girl scoffed. “I am Aurora Blaire Albrecht II! Everyone should know me!” Aurora shoved past Bea and went down to the bus. Blaze walked down the dock to it as well.
“See you later.” He said, waving.
As Rosamund waved back, she saw two identical twins walking down. “Hello.” She spoke. They stopped walking to greet her.
“Hey, I’m Calvin, and this is Callum. Nice to meet you.” Calvin said.
“Hi. Are you two twins?” Beatrice asked, standing beside Rosamund.
Calvin and Callum stared at her.
“Uh, yeah. See you around.” Calvin replied, and the two went down to the Bus stop. Meanwhile, a group of girls had formed on the dock.
“Hey, Zippy!” A girl called cooly.
“Hey Katerina!” Ziporah called out to Katerina, running over and giving her a hug.
Katerina stiffened a moment, then hugged back. “Are you ready for the month ahead?” She asked when they two let go.
“Are you kidding? I have been looking forward to this ever since I got the letter!” Ziporah exclaimed. Her eyes shone with excitement.
“Yeah, I am ready to meet our teams and see what the challenges are.” Katerina agreed. “I hope they’re mostly outside; islands are supposed to have a lot of great caves and -are you listening?” Katerina stopped, staring at Zipora. Her attention was focused on a tropical bird with feathers of blue and red.
“Zippy!” Katerina yelled, snapping her back into reality.
“Huh- sorry what were you saying?”
Before Katerina could answer, another voice shouted out, “Zippy, Katerina! Guess who else is here!!!” Alyona called out.
“Vitaliya, Alyona! I can’t believe that you two also got invited! You guys must’ve taken the other boat!” Ziporah ran and hugged them both. Vitaliya slowly pushed Ziporah away to escape the hug.
“It’s great to see you to.” She said after brushing off her clothes.
“Oh, my gosh! I can’t believe we all are here!” Ziporah said.
“Yeah, but most of us will probably be eliminated.” Alyona guessed flatly. The rest of the girls just stared at her.
While the girls chatted away, they didn’t even notice the other contestants heading to the bus stop.
“Antin, please stop! I can’t keep up.” Alwin yelled, following Antin.
“Your too slow, can’t you keep up more?” Antin said. He marched down the dock and to the bus, followed by his friend.
                                “Sorry.” He said quietly.
Alwin walked to the bus and threw his and Antin’s bags into the bag compartment. They rushed inside and found a seat in the back. Towards the front, one brown haired and muscular boy, Walter, gazed out the window.
“What brings you to the Diamond Games?” Walter looked next to him and there sat another boy about his age.
                                “Family stuff, really. You?”
“Just thought it would be fun.” The boy stuck out his hand, “I’m Pawel.”

“Walter.” The two shook hands. Two girls came up the walkway, one with strawberry blond hair and the other with black hair and a locket round her neck.
“Anyone sitting over here?” The girl with blond hair asked, and she pointed to the row of seats next to them on the left.
Walter shook his head, and the girls sat down. “I’m Walter, by the way. This is my new friend Pawel, who’re you?”
“Arizona, and this is Daiwa.” The girl next to Arizona gave a sort of half-smile, then turned her attention to the window.
“Cool. Where are you from?” Pawel asked, and as the three talked, two more people stepped off the second boat.
“Well Sebastain, we must keep a low profile. So, NO chasing squirrels! Okay? And keep your sunglasses on, we don’t want people to see our eyes!” Buddy ordered.
“Yes sir! But how do our eyes look different anyway? They all look gray.” Sebastian wondered.
“To us they look gray. But to real humans they are orange! Whatever that is.” Buddy explained.
“What do you mean to “Humans” they are orange?” A voice came from inside the van.
“Who said that?” Buddy looked around for the person.
“Fascinating, are you some kind of aliens?” A boy came out of the van. “Ha, I am simply fooling you. Extraterrestrials do not exist. I am Edgar, and you?” Edgar reached out his hand. First, they just looked at his hand. Then Buddy remembered what to do and shook it.
“I am Buddy, and this is Sebastian.” Buddy introduced.
“Weird, why are people already on the bus?” A boy with longer blond hair came up to the vehicle. “Oh well.” He shrugged. “Guess they’re in a hurry. Ya know, cause the bus doesn’t leave for another ten minutes.”
Edgar stared at the boy standing there. “What is with your… appearance?” He asked. “Are you going surfing?”
“Um, no? I kinda just like this look, ya know? I mean I hope it doesn’t make me look like I enjoy surfing. I didn’t really think wearing this hoodie would make me look like a surfer. But maybe it’s my hair that you’re talking about? My names Jaydan by the way, what’s yours?”
“Edgar, pleasant to meet you.” Edgar said flatly. He then climbed on the bus and found a spot alone in the back. Jaydan shrugged, sitting down next to a girl with straight black hair. She glanced suspiciously at him, diverting her eyes before he saw.
“Am I bothering you?” Jaydan asked.
The girl laughed, “Ha! No, no… I’m Kyomi, pleased to meet you!”
“Same to you, I’m Jayden.” As they shook hands, Jayden noticed a thin, gold bracelet on Kyomi’s wrist with a gem encrusted in the center.
“Nice bracelet, where did you get it from?”
Kyomi glanced down, then quickly drew her hand back, slipping the bracelet off and shoving it in her pocket. “Hm? Oh, uh, it was a gift from my uncle. Speaking of family, I need to tell them I’m here safely, so excuse me moment.” And with that, she pulled her phone out and paid no attention to Jayden.
At the front of the bus, Rachel glanced at her watch and sighed, “Great, we were supposed to leave two minutes ago. Why is everyone taking so long to get on?”
“It’s everyone making chit-chat that’s taking us so much time.” the boy next to her grumbled.
“Your right, we should have been there at 14:30.” Another boy said.
“You use military time too?” Rachel perked up, staring at the boy on the other side. He sat straight and stiff, with blue eyes and dirty blond hair.
He nodded, “I’m Robert Robinson. You are?”
“Rachel Henson.” Rachel smiled, then glanced at the boy next to her, “And you?”
“Huh?” the boy looked back, “I’m Robin, and why has this bus not left yet?!”
Soon everyone eventually got onto a bus and the trip began to the welcome center.
On the bus there was an aisle with a lively conversation happening.
“So, your Kozue, right?” Eithne asked one of the girls sitting near her. “Yeah, and these are my friends Edvaldo and Nathan. How did you know who I was?” She asked.
“Didn’t you fall off the boat?” Eithne questioned.
“Oh yeah, about that. Edvaldo convinced me to walk along the edge. Heh.” Suddenly a girl popped up from behind Kozue’s seat.
“I don’t remember this?!” Ziporah chimed in.
“You were not invited to this conversation…” Edvaldo muttered.
“Were you on boat 1, or 2?” Nathan asked.
                                “Boat 1.” Ziporah swiftly responded.
“Oh, you guys were ahead of us. We were on boat 2.” Eithne said.
“Oh.” Ziporah sat back down in her seat and let the group chat away.

“Great, just what I needed.” Owiti sighed, placing his water bottle back into his backpack. He still couldn’t find the lucky glass rabbit his sister had given him. “Maybe I lost it on the boat?” he thought aloud, zipping open one of the bag’s compartments.
“What are you looking for?” Owiti glanced up, and the boy sitting next to him had taken his headphones off for the first time since he had sat down and was staring at him.
“Oh, my sister gave me this animal figure for good luck, and I can’t find it anywhere.” Owiti responded.
“Sorry about that, did you check your pockets?”
Owiti smacked his forehead and dug through his left one. He felt the cool glass and took it out, “Thanks, I guess I forgot it was in my pocket.”
“No problem. I’m Boyan and over there is my cousin Josephine.” Boyan pointed to a pale girl with brown hair a few rows ahead of them.
“Pleasure to meet you, Boyan, I’m Owiti.”
“Interesting name, I’ve never heard it before. Well, I wish you the best in the challenges Owiti. Maybe we’ll be on the same team.” Boyan placed his headphones back on and took out a book on the history of violins.
Owiti placed the glass rabbit in one of the smaller backpack compartments, watching out the bus window as it made its trek to the resort.
Judith could rest easy now, they were almost at the resort’s gates. She couldn’t wait for tomorrow; it would finally give her a chance to prove to everyone her capabilities.
“This sure is a big game area.” She said to Edgar, whom she sat next to. He barely heard her, his nose buried in whatever book he was reading. Oh well. All that mattered now was that they were here, and as the bus parked, all 35 contestants would determine their destinies for the next month and a half.

The arena where the contestants would go to each morning was large, with circled walls around a grassy center. And in the center was a stage that could fit around 30 people on it, with 50 seats around it of high quality to fit the 35 contestants, and any parents brought with them.
“Hm, this isn’t very impressive. My daddy would, and could, make one three times bigger and better.” Auroa commented as the contestants filed in.
On the stage stood a young man wearing a green suit and quite young, smiling and greeting contestants as they entered.
“Welcome one and all! Welcome contestants, parents and guardians of the contestants! I am Allen White, and it is pleasant to meet all of you! Just to make things clear for the guests, you will be staying at a hotel on the island. Parents and guardians, all your accommodations will be included with your stay, and you may exit and enter the island whenever you wish! If you are a contestant, leaving the island will have you eliminated”
“As for the contestants, you will live in the same hotels as your guests, if you have not brought any guests then you will be staying in your hotel room alone. Speaking of which, the curfew is at 9 pm, with lights out at 10pm! You must report here at 8 am. Except on Sundays, you must come at 12pm. Speaking of which, there is a chapel for those who are religious that holds a mass at 10am.” He explained.
“Why do all hosts have to be the same?” Auroa asked in a disgusted tone.
“Ah Auroa, I have heard… A LOT about you…” Allen promptly responded.
“Of course you have.” She flicked her hair and looked around smugly.
“That is not a good thing.” Allen laughed. Auroa’s face quickly went flat, and she was clearly annoyed.
“Now, it is very nice that you all have agreed to come!” Allen said.
“I didn’t…” Daiwa said under her breath.
“And now it is time to assign the teams!” Allen announced, taking out a sheet of paper and reading it.
“Team 1, your team consists of Edgar, Eric, Quinn, Arizona, Judith, Beatrice and Pawel! And your name is the Argonauts.”
“Alright, Quin and I are sticking together!” Eric exclaimed.
“Too bad we are stuck with these losers.” Quin said disappointedly.
“HEY! We are sitting RIGHT HERE!” Arizona yelled.
“Team 2 will have Ziporah, Robert, Daiwa, Vitaliya, Jaydan, Antin and Alwin. And your team’s name is The Olympians.”
“What? NO! We are not staying together?” Ziporah said miserably.
“Aw man, that’s too bad!” Katerina lamented.
“Oh well, I expected that to happen.” Alyona shrugged.
“Team 3 is, Walter, Aurora, Owiti, Joshua, Rosemond, Buddy and Sebastian. Your team’s name is the Sirens”
“Wait, I have to be with Aurora?” Josua bitterly thought aloud.
“Hey! I am a going to be a blessing to this team!” Aurora sharply yelled.
“I guess I am unlucky after all.” Owiti quietly frowned.
“Team 4 will be Rachel, Nathan, Robin, Katerina, Blaze, Boyan and Alyona. And you are the Harpies!”
“Oh, for once I am happy to be separated from Ziporah.” Alyona said.
                                “What.” Ziporah’s face went flat.
“And the final team will have Kozue, Kyomi, Calvin, Callum, Josaphine, Eithne and Edvaldo. With last, but not least, the Athenians”
“Phew, Callum and I are sticking together.” Calvin triumphed.
“Not really that great.” Callum said quietly.
“Guests and contestants, please enter these buses to get settled into the hotel. All you must do is tell the receptionist your full name, and they will give you the room number and its key! Now rest up. We have a grand day tomorrow!” Allen escorted them out, to the parking lot where the buses and vans were waiting. “We’ll discuss challenges tomorrow, and dinner’s at 5:00!”
