That’s awesome! We haven’t gotten our parents into it (listened to the first book with them, and Mama read Arttham’s part in the end, so he’s her favorite character now. But not into the show really.). My sister and I did manage to get a girl we worked with onto them. We watched all the first season, and then what we could get for free on the site of the second. XD How is season 3? (Is that what you started on?)
I do like the show. It’s not entirely plot accurate, but it’s pretty accurate to the spirit of the books, and that’s what matters most. The music is fabulous. Such a fun mixture of quirky and lovely. ?

I’m very very tempted to pause literally everything I’ve ever made, and start a completely new world of some kind. I’ve got a desire to create something wonderful… something extremely fantastical. Also a strong desire to make something glow-y celestial beautiful. It’s been haunting me for the past few weeks. Problem is I already have a ton of worlds that I like a ton that are all about a third completed/usable for whatever… I should stick with those and add something fantastical and interesting to them because that sounds fun too. I don’t know. Anyway… ramble.
Also, I bought an art book and it came today. The Art of Fire Emblem: Awakening. Amazing book. It’s so inspiring. ? I’ve discovered that I really love concept art.

Guys…it’s really late, I should be asleep, but I’m so disturbed that my hands are shaking.
This probably isn’t the place to vent but I think I might have overreacted????
So, some of you know I’m on an art site called Unvale. I recently opened an art trade page, where I draw chibis of other people’s oc’s in trade for them to draw one of mine.
Today, I got a person who was interested in doing a trade, and I fully intended on doing the trade with them, until I noticed they don’t properly credit the people who do art of their oc’s. I replied to them and told my reasons for deciding against the trade. They replied back, saying they were horrified of such an accusation and that they did credit the artists.
So, on Unvale, when you post a character, you have a Primary Image (the first thing people see) and an entire page or profile for the character. Under these character pages is Gallery where you can post other images besides the Primary Image of the character. If you’re on Unvale, you will know that significantly less people look at the Gallery than the actual character. My Baron currently has 31 favorites, yet in gallery, only two of the images have a single favorite.
This person I had the interaction with only listed the credit for the real artists when you clicked on the images in Gallery. No mention of the real artists in the description (which is visible next to the Primary Image when you click on the character btw, so people are very likely to see it). I told them that that seemed shady, since there was no reason to not add it to the description (this person’s character “descriptions” were literally a sentence long, and in descriptions you can have entire paragraphs).
They replied that the artists were fine with this, and linked a comment as “proof”. This was the comment:
Artist: “hey sorry to bother you, but it appears you deleted the transfer i sent to you and put it here, and thats totaly fine, but i would apreciate it if you would add the appropriate credit to me on the image. [i.e. drawn by: MadamPotato] thank you! [personaly i dont think just me listed as the artist is enough, as most people will just assume you drew it without checking, again very sorry to bother you]”

Now, to me this obviously says that the artist wanted the credit clearly displayed in the description, not just when you clicked on the image in gallery and looked at the “creator” space (which again, basically no one appears to do judging by favorite ratios).
This is how the person responded:
you can check the creator of the drawing by tapping on it !! it has the credits there ^^
And the artist responds again, giving up:
i know that, but idc any more whatever
The person responds again:

And the artist responds for the final time with a thank you and another apology for bothering the person. Mind you THE PERSON NEVER GAVE THE EXTRA CREDIT THE ARTIST REQUESTED!
And this person tried to use this as “proof” to me that the artists were okay with wat they were doing. I pointed out how that really hindered their case, not helping it. The person didn’t get it at all and kept insisting that other people on Unvale do the same thing so it has to be totally okay. They ended the conversation by threatening to report me with harassment if I ever tried to talk to them again. I decided that was that, and deleted the comment conversation since it was on my art trade page and really didn’t need to be there anymore.
Let me note that this person had done this same shady thing multiple times with different characters, not just the one. While their entire page isn’t this way (they have literal hundreds of characters, many done in obviously their style which is a style quick and easy to draw) it still seems to happen relatively often. Let me also note that this person has 200+ followers. Which, for Unvale, is huge. Most people average in the double digits only.
Did I 0verreact? I was literally using Caps lock for some phrases, and my hands were shaking. I felt so angry and frustrated. I’ve literally talked to a self proclaimed furry hobbyist who calls themself a demon on Unvale and we actually had a really good conversation about God, and I at no point got upset even in the beginning where it seemed the person would just start hating on me and not listen. Yet, I got so fired up by this person refusing to properly credit artists for no reason.
*Sigh* To be fair, they did technically credit the artists, but not in a way that anyone would really see it, and they knew this. They put these artworks drawn by other people as the Primary Image for their oc, then never credited the real artist in the description. I see that as deliberate deception.
I should have probably said something in Unvale posts and not here but I know if the person sees the post, they’ll report me, and since I deleted the conversation, I can’t defend myself. (edit: because I left a tab open, I was actually able to make a screen recording quick scrolling through the conversation. Also just remembered that i was so upset at this person, I actually used [thankfully censored] foul language which I think all you of you know on here is not my usual self. I really shouldn’t have done that)
I’m just so upset, and I probably shouldn’t be? Idk. It’s almost 2:30 AM, I haven’t slept at all, so i can’t trust my own mind right now.
I’m really sorry about any typos and stuff in this post.
