Awesome! Y’all are the best.
I don’t have your email to my knowledge, so we can do the profile message thing or wait until next week when I’m hoping to have a system set up. Either way, I don’t mind! Just happy to bug someone else. 😉

October 9, 2025 at 11:31 pm #207923Out of curiosity, I copy-pasted all the scenes into a document and checked the word count. It was over 40,000 words. That doesn’t count stuff I didn’t find or didn’t believe was worthy enough.
And I am currently struggling to finish drafting a 6,000 words short story. This is embarrassing. What am I doing?? Does anyone else have a project that moves quickly and another one that moves like a snail?
If I’m passionate about something I can write it a lot and if I’m not passionate about it I can’t! I have two wips that kinda uh… scratch a different writers itch? So when I’m burnt out of slice of life I can write some fighting and vice versa.

Yes!! I always have two WIPs. What else are you supposed to do if you’re tired with one project and the ideas are blocked?

Let me see…. *digs around in old group call emails* AHa! Found it. *sends you last week’s newsletter because I don’t have a welcome system set up yet*

Just did, apparently. 😉 I didn’t know who all to tag and not tag, so I just posted the announcement like that. I’ll probably need to get more confident about advertising, but that’s the week after next’s problem. KeePers are the best, anyway. It’s fun to see the slow growth as more are interested than I thought. 🙂
So, my apologies for not spamming you directly. I was intending to, if you didn’t see this. 😉

Welp it’s been a while ???
I have been *DEEP* in the trenches of life, school, and writing, and tbh I needed a bit of a break from here. I still don’t plan on being here a whole whole lot bc LIFE (and I also have both the CS Lewis Fellowship and JesusWriMo over November?) but I wanted to stop in and see how everyone is doing ??
As for me, I am doing well. I’ve been busy and sometimes a little overwhelmed by all of the changes of life, but doing well mostly overall. I’ve published the 2nd edition of Freedom’s Fire, have started writing Leon/Riker’s 3rd novel, and have also finished D1 of my first fantasy book of a trilogy and am more than 10k into D1 of the 2nd. ?

Hi!! Good to see you’re still alive. XP
You’re joining the C. S. Lewis writing Fellowship too? Lovely. I have no clue what it’s going to be like. Just hoping it’ll work out around life, ya know. As I’m currently writing this while sitting in the corner of the Math and Science building waiting for class to start (and wondering if someone can get frostbite from over active AC units that haven’t adjusted to cooler weather)…great fun, great fun.
Wonderfilul news on the books! Love and miss those dear darling charies. #LeonNeedsHugs

October 15, 2025 at 1:35 pm #207969Freeeeedom! *Tackle hugs you*
I was just thinking about you yesterday. Funny how that works.
Glad to hear life’s been going well, even if it’s crazy busy. Your writing accomplishments are so exciting! Are you still publishing with Amazon?
I think it’s been pretty chill here in the Kingdom lately. (Other than the plotted mutiny of course, but that’s just a defense strategy against Wyoh and the hobgoblins that plague the place on occasion.*nods sagely*)
As for my “real” life, it’s been great. Started attending a Bible College, so writing fiction is a real treat. XD (A lot of essays.) And started working more officially in the family business while learning how to start my own.
None of the characters of mine you knew have died yet. I’ve got a whole new series idea I’m trying to keep in the back burner until I get first drafts of my “heart story” done. And I’m planing to do a kid’s book about a little Italian bat named Angelo over November.
Also, Koshka and I will both be in the CS Lewis foundation thingy too! So we might run into each other there.

October 15, 2025 at 2:10 pm #207970@freed_and_redeemed heyyyy! how’ve ya been?
I’ve been great. Did I tell you I’ve been doing 3D animation? I’m currently addicted to recreating How to Train Your Dragon scenes lol…but I might branch off into something more original soon.
I can’t wait to see what your fantasy novels are like, your historical fic ones are SO GOOD!

October 15, 2025 at 5:13 pm #207973Hey hey!! I was so excited to see your username pop up in my notifs! ? It’s so good to hear from you again!! <33
Ahhh, yesss, I’m doing The Next C. S. Lewis training too!! I’m so excited! Writing hasn’t been the greatest for me right now, so I’m hoping that will get me out of my rut and give me the motivation I need to start the new year off strong. (@koshka and @elishavet-pidyon , glad to hear you guys are going too!!) Also the fact that it’s free??! Like, yes, I barely spent time on the website before I signed up, lol.
Also, Jesus Writing Month sounds so cool! (I just took a peek at their website 😉 ). I’d love to join, but I’m already going to be in the CSL thing and another writing camp that month, on top of a bunch of other non writing things. XD
I haven’t been as active as I’ve wanted to be either. Life is just so busy, so I totally get it. ?
Writing’s been really off and on for me right now. I started an autumn themed short story that was kinda tiptoeing around in my head, so that’s kept me at least a little motivated. But since the volleyball season will be over in a couple weeks, I’m planning to really lock in and start working towards my writing goals at a more consistent pace.
And then, random question, but I can’t remember, are you a senior in high school this school year? Or have you already graduated?

October 15, 2025 at 9:17 pm #207978*Joins the tackle hug dogpile* Heyoooo. Good to see you around! I think I’ll be at the CS Lewis Fellowship if I remember to sign up. By the way, what’s the concept for your new fantasy? You’ve always talked about historical fiction to my knowledge, so this is an intriguing direction. I may have already heard about it but I have the memory of a goldfish. 😛

October 16, 2025 at 7:55 pm #207989I introduced my dad to the Wingfeather Saga today! I’ve read the books but never watched the TV show, so when the trailer for season 3 came in my youtube recommendations I decided to at least watch that. I was telling my dad about the trailer (it was really good) and he was like “well why don’t we watch the show?”
We saw the first episode. He says he liked it.
