Hmmm…I really like Father Nicolas from a rather dead wip. I’m also writing a dad by the name of Lotan Linder. I like him so much he just avoided dying where he originally was going to die. I haven’t figured out how yet, but the one character who has two loving and living parents gets to keep them. Also Ryla’s grandfather…he’s weird but his heart’s in the right place.

In an older project, Farr Jule took in his daughter’s friends despite the risk and their troublesome natures. Jule had six brothers, and they all watched over the child protagonists as a large family unit. The family was widespread over a floating town, but was very disciplined. I liked writing Jule because he was always gracious and understanding with the kids. And he knew how to teach his wildcat of a daughter.

*realizing how few father figures exist in my stories*
No wonder my characters have issues. I can only think of one side character but he’s not really a father figure. He just has the potential for it.
But in honor of Father’s Day even though that was two days ago, my favorite character from one of my dad’s stories is a talking badger whose name I can’t actually remember. He was friends with a little girl named Mary and they would have tea parties together in the woods. My dad used to tell me this story when I was little before bed, but I don’t remember a lot of the details.

Random question! Anyone else watch the new How to Train Your Dragon movie? I thought it was really good. Not quite better than the original, but they didn’t butcher it either (something Disney keeps doing with their recent remakes)

So my cat Marbles had 6 kittens who are now almost two weeks old and I can’t think of names I like for any of them. I will be going back to the update where i last asked for help naming kittens, but figured it couldn’t hurt to make another post so that other people could comment names. If you’ve already commented possible names last time, feel free to do again! This time I will be archiving all names for later use.
Kitten descriptions!
There are two grey tabbies, three normal tabbies (with gorgeous bright coloring though!), and one black and white. Two of the normal tabbies are girls (I think) and the rest are boys. I need an extra special fluffy name for the boy normal tabby who is very fluffy already (possibly going to be a long-haired cat) and is pretty playful for being so young. He’s actually on my lap right now and i can’t lie, he’s my favorite.
Anyway, any name suggestions welcome! I’ll let you know when I pick out some names!
