Yes! Jackets are awesome but puffy coats not so much. 🙂
That’s a great idea, @dragon-snapper . 🙂 Would you like to set it up since it was your idea, or shall I? (Once Fall begins, of course.) 😉
September 14, 2016 at 5:17 pm #17329Jackets are amazing! I feel going on adventures whenever I’m wearing one.
Sure, I’ll make one on September 22, the day summer officially ends (sadly). It shall be done. *bows and walks away ominously*

September 15, 2016 at 11:23 am #17411My sentiments exactly! (Regarding jackets, that is.) That will be nice to have you do it, @dragon-snapper . 🙂 I (almost 😉 ) can’t wait! 🙂

September 21, 2016 at 10:24 pm #17885So, (here in Virginia, anyway,) it is the (gasp!) last day of Summer! (Or maybe it’s tomorrow. We’ll stretch it into two days for extra effect) 😉 In honor of this momentous occasion, this dramatic changing of the seasons, I was wondering if you would all post an update on how you’re doing with your writing projects?
How did your Summer (or honorary Summer) go? 🙂
@hannah-c @hope @daeus @spradlin @faithdk @kate-flournoy @belegteleri @aella @bluejay @winter-rose @anna-brie @gretald @zoe-wingfeather @sarah-h @rolena-hatfield @dragon-snapper (okay, so @dragon-snapper technically didn’t tell us what his Summer goals were since he didn’t join us until it was nearly Fall, but it seemed rude to neglect him, so …) 😉- This reply was modified 8 years, 1 month ago by Mallory O'Bier.

September 21, 2016 at 10:27 pm #17888@Overcomer *hem* @Dragon-Snapper is a she. 😛
My summer… eh… it went okay. I never did get around to the Snow White novella, and I’m still editing my WIP… but I’m actually pretty happy with what I’ve accomplished, especially considering summer is the busiest time of year for our family. I’m confident that my WIP is actually going to be somewhat readable once I finish editing it, and I consider that an accomplishment worthy of note. 😀What about you?
September 21, 2016 at 10:32 pm #17893@overcomer I think I said something crazy like writing 10 short stories. Hmm…in a sense I was probably close as I wrote at least three longer stories plus lots of writing prompt stories. I also got lots of poems written.
So I’m very happy with what I got done. 🙂
(And I salute all of you who are about to head into winter. I shall think of you when I am basking in the sun , wearing shorts and sun glasses and flip flops. And when I am sweating while watching the cricket with an ice cream in my hand. And when I am playing outside in the cool of the evening with the smell of cut grass and birds chirping around me.) *happy sigh*September 21, 2016 at 10:38 pm #17896@Overcomer Well, I finished and published Song of the Sword this summer, which was exciting. I also wrote up my third novella for Legends of Light…and now I’m scraping it and rewriting it this fall for reasons. And I’m almost finished editing my fantasy novel, Fidelyon!
INTJ - Inhumane. No-feelings. Terrible. Judgment and doom on everyone.
September 21, 2016 at 10:38 pm #17897Well, @kate-flournoy, uh …
I haven’t finished a draft of my novel yet, but I’m still writing it, as well as editing another poem.
It’s not exactly the results I was looking for, but I’m pretty happy with it. I’ve had writer’s block. I beat it. I’ve had doubts. They are gone. (ish) I am still writing, and that is what matters. 🙂
And I’m not done by a long shot.
September 21, 2016 at 10:39 pm #17899Oops, @kate-flournoy ! I had already guessed @dragon-snapper was a she, but I made a typo. Sorry!

September 21, 2016 at 10:53 pm #17902@Overcomer Wrote three chapters out of intended five. Not much, but I’ve been doing a lot of editing and that’s been coming along pretty well. I think I also rewrote my novelette.

September 21, 2016 at 11:03 pm #17905September 22, 2016 at 1:29 am #17909@overcomer Well the second draft of Girl of the Rumours is coming along. Not as quickly as i’d like, but still coming. It turned out that balancing two projects doesn’t work for me. the one took up most of my head space leaving only enough for little bits of planning the other one.
And it’s continuing to make more and more sense as I write. The other one is becoming more tragic as I plot.
September 22, 2016 at 7:03 am #17941@overcomer Yep. I’ll be writing that as soon as I can get the time away from editing my other works.

@overcomer I finished my first novel, then did some editing and brainstorming. 🙂
September 22, 2016 at 4:58 pm #17976I think that I did fine. Much better than my first attempt at a novel, that’s for sure. Yesterday, before fall began, I was able to reach chapter twenty of my WIP, which I started sometime near the end of June.
@overcomer (I understand your confusion…I think that the only way you could know I was a girl is through the poem I wrote and had published on the site a few weeks ago.) 😀- This reply was modified 8 years, 1 month ago by Snapper.
